All about me
Just writing to get you started on knowing me a little better.
I don't want to offend anyone. I love to read, crochet, fish and deer hunt. I know Deer Hunting. How can you kill bambi. I have deer hunted for the last 17 years have only gotten 2. So they are pretty safe around me. I just like to be out in the woods with nature. It's so cool. Any way. I have 3 kids. Youngest daughter 15, Son 19 in college, Daughter 22 in college and pregnant and unmarried. My kids are my life along with my husband of 17 years. I lost my mom in March to cancer, My husband's grandmother in May and my father in law in June. Rough year. But made it so far |

It's nice to meet you. Deer hunting, now that's an interesting hobby! Not for me, but I bet we won't see a lot of that on here. That's what makes this forum interesting, all the different personalities.
Sounds like you've got a great family, look forward to hearing more about your kids! And sorry to hear about your mom. It's so hard to lose a parent. We lost my husbands father 7 years ago after a long battle with heart disease. It's hard to believe it's been 7 years. Anyway, glad you've joined us. Judging by your post rate so far, I'm sure you'll be surpassing me in no time! |

Cool! Another deer hunter!! Well, actually, I don't hunt but I do enjoy going to the stand with either hubby or one of the boys.....was with my 13 year old last season on opening day of youth season when he shot his doe. And who knows, I might just take it up this year for myself instead of being an observer We'll have to swap hunting stories this fall
And may I offer my sincerest sympathies on the loss of your mom, grandmother, and father-in-law I lost my father almost 22 years ago and a few years ago for Christmas, my sister gave me a picture frame that holds 5 different photos where she had placed pics of my dad and other family members I was especially close to that we've lost. At the bottom of the mat was this inscription, "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure." So treasure those memories you hold so very dear in your heart.

Deer Hunting...I tried to convince my husband last season to start back and take me. He quit just before we started dating about 6 years ago. I don't know why exactly I just got a hankering to try it. I'm kinda thinking that once it actually came down to it I prob couldn't kill one, I don't know though. My husband, or so he says, was kinda like you towards the end. He really just liked going out to the woods and sitting, just being in nature.
Now fishing, definately not for me. I haven't been in prob 15 years. It was so boring. Of course that was when I was little and I never caught anything sooo.... Anway welcome to the forum.... |

My husband use to deer hunt, but hasn't gone in a few years. He has rhuematoid arthritis and the cold gets to him. I haven't been fishing in quite a few years. Use to be my favorite thing to do. I could sit there along some river or creek, pole in hand and solve all the worlds problems. So quiet and serene.

Sorry I know this is off but I had to throw in that I've been hunting b/4. My step-dad and husband both deer hunt and I've been alot of times but I've never killed anything b/c I"ve NEVER seen anything. I think they take me to places that don't have any deer on purpose b/c otherwise they always talk about how many deer they've seen but we see none why I go with anyone. So I really don't know if I'll be able to shoot one if I ever get to see one.LOL I say I want to but I could chicken out..LOL

You forgot to tell what a great cook you are (and she actually loves cooking) and that you use to sell Pampered Chef items and was quite good at it. AND that you haven't killed our mutual evil sister-in-law YET!
