Wanna know how big of a nerd I am?
Well, I should be in bed now since I have class in the morning, but I'm too excited to sleep...
Why?? Because I just finished a huge portion of what I feel is my best project/assignment/paper of my academic career and now I'm on a "high" and can't bring myself to go to bed... Yup, I'm definitely a nerd! Why do I get so excited about this stuff? lol

You are not a nerd! It IS exciting, and it's normal to be on a "high" after doing something you absolutly 100% happy with

Is this the one that you asked us for ideas? If so, what subject did you decide on? (Hey, I'm glad that you're happy with how it turned out too!!!!)

Angie, I'm glad you're enthusiastic about your education. I'm sure it helps you to be a much better student and it sure sounds like a lot more fun than it might otherwise be.
NOTHING wrong with being excited about a job well done!

The assignment was to concentrate on a community problem and find a new, unique, never-before-thought-of solution to the problem. We weren't allowed to do research of any kind! I chose graffiti as my problem, because it's a problem with the community (it looks bad) and because it leads to problems in the individuals who do it (they could end up in jail). The solution was a local graffiti art gallery to display this form of "art" and a community center where the participants could come and create their art (a "hang out" of sorts to keep them out of trouble/danger). It was focused on young adults and adolescents, but there was a lot more to it as well. Hard to explain in just a paragraph, lol! I think the project turned out really well in the end though.
