Screwed Up Already!
Leave it to me ladies!!! I had one last pie to bake yesterday and I was getting a little tired. I was making a peanut butter pie. I love this pie and hadn't made one in a couple of years so thought, what the heck..sounds really good for Thanksgiving.
After I mixed it all together it just didn't seem the right color and I remembered having to stirr it for quite some time on the stove for it to thicken. Well it thickened up so fast and I just couldn't figure out what I had done. I called my Mom to tell her about it and told her I had used some fat free pnt btr along with the regular. She thought sometimes you can't use fat free items and that may be why the color was darker and why it thickened up so fast. I was reading the recipe to her and then I burst into a big ole laugh. My Mom was trying so hard to get me to calm down and tell her what I had done. I had used 5 CUPS of pnt btr instead of 5 TABLESPOONS!!! What a goofball I am..LOLOL I tried a small piece of the pie and well, it's in wasted food heaven now...lol I had to throw it out it was sooooo bad. Maybe I'll try it again next year....ROFLMBO!!!

ROFLMFAO!!!! Sorry Janet, this DID give me a good laugh, it's just the kind of thing i would do. Ive done something similar when baking a cake, put a cup of baking powder in, instead of a tspoon, a friend of mine was at my house, we were having a baking day, we were talking so much, we totally forgot what we were doing LOL

That's funny Janet. I've done silly things like that often. Glad you can laugh about it. WOW - that's a lot of peanut butter, LOL. All these visuals in my head of you standing over the stove trying to stir that stuff is cracking me up.
