any suggestions?

i need a new flat iron for my hair... but most of the ones i find i end up really disapointed with. i have ALOT of hair... its not really long just thick and alot of it. so i usually like 2" plates that can do large sections at a time... but anything that would work would be fine with me. :-/
does anyone have any suggestions or recomendations of a could straightener?

My girls would love to have a Chi straightener but they're pretty expensive. They are suppose to be one of the best.

I've heard the Chi's are the best too. My hair is short and I have no need for one. Hopefully some others will post here shortly.

I like any ceramic one. Try eBay for a good price - Conair makes good products, very inexpensive too.

Chi's are very very good but very expensive as everyone has already said. I also have thick-ish hair with a bit of wave when I air-dry it. Do you use products to straighten? I've found it helps a LOT. I have a ceramic conair which I am happy with. To get it SUPER SUPER straight I use a flat-iron spray and then use the flat-iron before it dries.

I used a Chi for over a year and they are very good at getting and keeping hair straight. My hair was starting to feel dry though and I read some great reviews on GHD flat irons and broke down and bought one. It is the single best beauty purchase I have ever made. I can not say enough about my GHD. From the very first use my hair felt silkier and looked shinier than with the Chi. GHDs rock!
