My Electricity Went Out!!!!
I was sitting here typing on 4WT and suddenly my electricity went off. I knew right away what it was and I went out to the pole that has my meter and transformer and, sure enough, there was a dead squirrel! They jump on the transformer and short something out. It's happened many times. So I called REC and told them what had happened and in about 20-25 minutes they were out here and got it fixed! As soon as I stepped out the door I heard a loud "Hello, Diana!!" An old school mate/childhood neighbor was the one doing the work. We had a nice visit while he repaired my transformer. Yeah!!! I'm back on!!!!!!

It's nice to see old friends unexpectedly. I'm glad it went so easily and you enjoyed your conversation.
The squirrel, on the other hand, probably didn't have fun! They aren't the brightest animals in town.

Diana welcome back I missed ya g/f Speaking of old friends when I first moved here I was in Shoprite buying some groceries. I hear someone call my name, turn around and it was a old friend from grade school. We parted in high school and I had not seen her since. It was so funny that she remembered me after so many years. We got reaquainted and to boot her nephew and mine grew up together in the area and we never knew that... Small world right..
I use to see her quite often, now I run into her here and there.... |

Well, I'm happy your power wasn't off for very long. I don't mind the power off in the summer, but don't like it in the wintertime especially if I have puppies due.
I have a litter due the 20th of this month. We also have a snow make-up day for school the 21st, so if we don't take a day off because of weather, I'll get Sunday the 20th AND Mon. the 21st. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

It was so nice yesterday that it wasn't a big worry about the electricity going off but if it would have been colder.......BRRRRRRR!!!!!
That will be nice, Janet, to have an extra "free" day after your puppies are born. Then you'll be able to keep an eye on them without having to go to work.

I am glad you got the power on quickly and were able to have a nice visit. Makes a difficult situation better.
