The reports are getting worse, " Tornadoes that roared through parts of Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi killed at least 45 people and injured more than 100 others Tuesday night and early Wednesday, authorities said." from CNN.com 6:30 a.m. CST.
So horrible!!!! Worried about what they will find when daylight comes.

My family and I are all on the other side of the state from where the damage was. I feel so bad for the people affected.
Thanks for checking up on us!

We were lucky. When we heard the hail I grabbed my 2 Yorkies and we all headed for the bathtub but fortunately it went just to the east of us. Our friend (pastor) tried to get to his church but trees were everywhere. There was a lot of damage there. It's about 10 miles from here. I feel so bad for all those people who died and their loved ones. Hope you all are ok.

I just found out about the tornados when I signed on the computer. We haven't had any news on today or the TV either. That's too bad that there was so much damage and loss of life. So many people get to where they don't take a tornado warning seriously but all it takes is that one time. My first thought went to Angie and her family and I'm glad to hear that they're all safe and sound.
Janc, I didn't realize that you were in TN too. It sounds like it came pretty close to you!!! I'm glad that it missed you because the damage from them is so horrible. I've heard that you have to throw almost everything away because of fiberglass getting into fabrics and stuff. Sheryl lives in the northwest part of Arkansas and I'm sure that she's alright. I can give her a call if she doesn't show up in a couple of days.

Whew, sounds like everyone on here may be okay. What a relief!!! Sooo sad about all the loss of life and destruction. You just never know from one day to the next.

The total now is at 55 people killed; and 31 died in Tennessee alone.
How sad! We're hearing now that the Chicago area is getting 16" of snow from the northern edge of the same storm. Much of the midwest is a mess weather wise. Fortunately for me, the worst of it is all several hours south of us. Prayers going out for all who weren't so lucky.
