Successful Garage Sale!!
Yes it's over...I'm so glad! I had a very successful sale and made just under $200. To me, that is successful, for people to drive clear out in the country and some were even saying they had a hard time finding it, but didn't give up.
I put in the ad that the sale didn't start until 9:00 A.M. I had people coming at 5 mintues till 8:00 A.M. I told them I couldn't open because it wouldn't be fair to those coming at the time listed for a specific thing. They came back though..shock!! By 8:30 A.M. there were probably 50 people standing outside my garage waiting for me to open. By the time I opened the door you could hardly move around the garage it was so full of people. Everyone said they thought the prices were great and everything was so organized. (you know me...lol) The rest of the items were hauled off to Goodwill and the clothes to a mission shop. I didn't think I had anything of value to list on ebay. Since we have a Goodwill store here close, I don't think I will save items up anymore for a sale. I will just take it in and be done with it. Now if I think I may be able to sell it on ebay, I will enlist Diana's professional help and give it a shot. As for now...I have so much room in my garage it's amazing. I bet I could fit two small cars in there now.

I wish you lived close by .... my dh and I love to attend tag sales. It's one of our favorite things to do in the spring, summer and fall. I guess that is why we have so much stuff in our own basement now !
Glad yours was a success.... |

Yeah Janet!
I'm so glad it was such a success since it is a lot of work just setting everything up and making sure it's all clean and ready. Well done!

I was hoping that you'd post and tell us how well you did! I'm not surprised that you did so well because people are so ready to get out when spring gets here. I'm glad that you did great money-wise too!! So whatcha' gonna' spend your money on? Got anything in mind?

Wow Janet! Congrats on such a successful sale. So are you going to go for a spa day with that extra cash?
