Finally Shaved!
I just had to post this! LOL My daughter is 10 and started shaving her legs last fall before school. She was a little hairy thing so it was time. Well she finally started to develop hair under her arms. My baby is growing up.. Any time I mentioned shaving it she went nuts. Wanted no part of it. Tink told me to teach her how to braid it. LOL She had been using an electric razor and tonight finally asked me to use a real razor.LOL I told her that was fine and I showed her how to do it and told her to let me get her knees. Oh she was just fine with it all! So then I threw in "When your ready I will shave your arms for you." She says OK Oh you should have seen her face. She was so excited and now acts like a new woman! Don't you wish it was that simple for us. Take a shower and shave and come out feeling like a new woman. LOL I wish... My baby isn't a baby anymore.

My granddaughters all started shaving when they were about 10 too. It seems like that's the age they start noticing things like that. My youngest daughter had her sisters help her so I'm not sure exactly when she started. They kinda' sneaked some things like that around me. They have their own buddy system!!! LOL

Wow! 10...that seems like just a baby to me! They do grow up fast. You're a good mom, helping her learn how to do it.

Oh gosh! We haven't even gotten to the monthly friend stopping by yet. I have explained it to her and she knows that it will be here soon. I just hope that it doens't happen while she is at 4-H camp this year. She will be devasted. Altho she knows her teen counselor who will be in the room with her. Anna is a very sweet girl so Emmie might feel very comfortable talking to her. She is my only one and I have to admit that I am glad I only have to do this once LOL

My oldest granddaughter is 10 and she is wearing a little bra already! Before you know it, they become teenagers.
She tells me she's a "tween." She seems to be very proud of this. My daughter was quite developed at a young age. They used to call her "peaches" in the 5th grade. She also is a redhead, and also called "red" so she was not a happy camper with these nicknames. I had to dress her in a very babyish outfit for her elementary school graduation. She looked so much older than the other girls. The smells of Nair, hair products, bath products and who knows what else used to make her stepfather and I laugh! It's such a cute age. She talked about hair for 4 years! I finally just found that "turn off" switch in my brain and said ummhmm at appropriate times when hair came up.

Whoa, she's 10 and you expect her to get her period this summer? I hope not for her sake! It's so funny how anxious they are to start....doesn't take long for that novelty to wear off, does it? Most of Megan's friends (and she) didn't start until 13 or 14. Hopefully you'll have a few years reprieve!
