Janet!! Your Vote Matters!!

Janet, for once, your vote in the primary really, really matters!!! Whatcha gonna do??? Huh, Huh??? I'm on pins and needles here!!

pssstttt......Janet, please, oh pretty please, vote for my guy, okay?!! You know who I mean. Love you!! You're the best!!! He really doesn't think people out in the country resort to guns and religion when they get "bitter". Just when you have to pay $3.44 per gallon for gas, right??? That's when the guns come out!!!

Just couldn't resist pestering you just a little. Your the only one in Indiana I know well enough to bug about this.

Get ready to be really pestered by the robo calls!!! We got several when our primary was almost here. Hillary, Obama, Bill all called with recorded messages, multiple times. The Hillary folks kept wanting me to push 1 if I was voting for her. Wasn't sure what to do if I wasn't that's the only option they gave.

At least you won't be lonely for a few days. Enjoy your month in the spotlight!!!

I think everyone is afraid of my thread!!! I'm posting about one of those controversial subjects. I think people are more afraid of (or either sick of) this subject than they are of religion. Probably sick of is more appropriate, with all the disgusting negative campaigning. My guy hates it, too, but they said he has to do it to get elected, or he would look weak. And yes your phone will be ringing. Politicians don't have to abide by the no-call list.

One comentator I heard on the radio said his wife voted for the candidate who made the fewest robo-calls.

There will be volunteers who will call also, live people. You might ask how much they would be willing to pay for a puppy to get your vote. Would be interesting to hear their answers, and you could post them on here!! Hubby loves messing with them when they call. Not a very good way to find a qualified buyer though.

Funny, no, I don't think I would involve a puppy, but I too, would like to play with their mind for disturbing me. So far I haven't had any phone calls and this is the 2nd or 3rd round of visits they've both made to Indiana.

I really wish I could speak with both of them, because I really don't think they have a good clue as to how the people really are. It's been so long since they've had to worry about paying for gas or the electric bill, they just don't remember. Oh they say they do, but they'll say anything to get a vote and that's any politician.

You said so yourself, pretty much, they have to.

The problem is that any one of the three we have to choose from are in the same category. I think Edwards is perhaps the only one who came from a background where he knows what it's like to be an ordinary person, and he didn't make it this far.

I read somewhere that we need to pull out a copy of the constitution and read it. Not a copy of the text of the consitution, but an actual photo copy of it. "We the People" is much larger than the rest of the text for a reason and if you read it the way Thomas Jefferson crafted it on paper, it has a much more profound meaning. We need to take back control by voting for those at the very grass roots level who will help us take our country back from big business and special interests. I don't know if anyone currently running can really get this done. Obama is running on that platform, but I honestly don't know if he has what it takes to follow through.

I forgot to mention Marilyn, that here in Frankfort, we had a wonderful Mayor. I graduated with him. He looked the part, did an excellent job and was beaten this year by a guy who has no clue what to do. He even said that now he needed to learn what a Mayor does. He graduated a year behind us.

He's been in office since January and still not sure what a Mayor is suppose to do. There have been so many write-ups in the paper about his inability to run Frankfort. He only ran because his friends talked him into it. He's not a social type of guy and has been cursed because he is not attending functions that our Mayors have always held dear to helping Frankfort. He didn't even own a suit and said he wasn't buying one. Now come on....to get businesses to move here, he's going to have to do better than his flannel shirts.

We really need grass root type of people in office, local and national, but we need to stay on top the grass....don't elect the roots....LOLOL.

I wish someone with more intelligence than our Mayor, but yet still be 'real' people would run for office, but that's not been done to my knowledge.
