Need Mini-vacation ideas
My hubby is finally gonna get a few days off work & i'm trying to plan a mini-vacation, but i don't know where to go. I believe we're thinking florida. I would love to go to Orlando & all the disney parks, but my hubby thinks it will be a mad house due to our vacation time being over the 4th of july. It doesn't have to be florida, but my hubby would like to stay in the same general time zone. I was looking at tampa. If i can't go to the disney parks I would like to stay right on the beach. We are pretty laid back vacationers. We like to sunbath & do a couple sight seeing things & some shoping. Right now I'm trying to get the 3rd off, If all goes well we'll have July 3rd through the 7th off. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We've only had one vacation and that was when my son was 4 or 5 (he's 17 now) and that was to Disney in Florida. I'm not much help am I? There is always Myrtle Beach or someplace close to that, or here in Indiana there are lots of places to go. Indiana Beach on Lake Shafer is nice, Lake Freeman too. There's Brown County, Nashville...just about anything really. Ya just have to do some searching. It sounds like you're water/beach people, but I'm sure there are other really nice areas for water fun that you could go to.
If you like exploring caves, Mammoth Cave in Ky is fabulous.

go to Orlando, we just went to Disney last month, so much to see and do, the shows are so nice, and the parks are out of this world, i love epcot, it's always crazy there anyways, but if you want to ride they have the fast passes now, they were so nice. I love Disney, were going back in a couple of years. I think i enjoyed it more than Micah, but he's young yet.. i want to take him back when he turns three years old.. and every couple of years take him...

I'd head for the closest, most luxurious beach front hotel I could afford. What could be better?

well, that is what I do. I sell discounted vacarion packages that include a resort tour. One of the best places I have noticed is Destin, Florida. It doesn't seem to be as crowded and it is beautiful! My 4 day/3 night Destin package is one of the ones I push for people who want to see something nice and still have fun. Try looking it up. It is on the panhandle between pensacola and panama city. I also sell packages to Orlando, Daytona Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Branson, Nashville, Gatlinburg, San diego, Durago Colorado, Sendona Arizona, Myrtle Beach, Vegas, Williamsburg and Alexandria in VA, so if you are interested in any of those, I will give you a link for the area. Hope you have a great time!
