I'm Tired

I feel like I am ready for a vacation. This has been a tough year.

I can't really say that it is any one thing. My friend and her DH passing was the worst of it, but I know they are in a better place. We have figured out most of her job and are getting things taken care of.

Last week our rescue group took in 8 Yorkies. So, that was draining on the emotions. I know some people think of dogs like they do cows. But darn it, I get mad about how they treat cows too! (A rancher has some right next to our subdivision.) There is 1 tree for all of them. They will all squish up against each other to get in the shade.

One of the Yorkies (Harley) we took in has been to 4 homes, he is 5 years old and has liver shunt diease. No one has had this fixed. He has seizures after eating and has lost 2 lbs in the last couple of months.

I just redid the web site okyorkierescue.org

The Tax commision canceled my tax permit. Evidently I was filing wrong. Last week they told me I was going to have to go to a hearing. Thank God this week, they looked at everything and have reinstated me.

Now, I need to start on rebuilding my online store for Katy Bows. Oh well, I guess its just life.

Michelle, I'm sorry you're having a down time. I do that quite often anymore. So much to get discouraged and sad about, but there is so much to lift us up too. I need to go check out your rescue site. Think I'll do that now.

Michelle, you are such an awesome person, and I hope that your load is lifted sooner rather than later! God bless you for rescuing those presicous babies!

I just visited your website and have to say it is really set up well, and commend you for your dedication to help these poor souls. Its not an easy task.
Thank you for doing all you are to help them!

Your one little girl reminded me of my moms yorkie she had when I was a young girl..Misha only weighed 2 1/2 pounds, in her later years lost all of her teeth.. always full of spunk! What a spirit she was.

I am not in a position to foster or adopt, but I sure add my voice to educate people about puppy mills. I live near a amish community. Many puppymills. Breaks your heart to be driving down a rural road and see a large sign - selling puppies. Always the smaller breeds. Many different breeds. Grrrrr..
