Another Brain Fart!!
You know that sometimes some here like to talk/write about politics, religion or just something they have very strong feelings about.
We've all forgotten we can form groups on our profile page and those posts do not show up in the regular forum. If I remember right, the rules are the same, you know, normal common courtesy, no heated battles and such. Since they don't show up in the regular forum, those of us who don't like controversial topics don't have to visit that group. They can also be made to be public where everyone can read or post or it can be made as private/invite only. This suggestion might need to be run by administration first, but if everyone acted like adults and respect that everyone has different opinions and no one try to shove their choices, beliefs..etc. down someone else's throats, why not? What are everyone else's thoughts on this? Before forming a group, say maybe political since that is the hot topic right now...it would probably be better to get permission from Administration, just to make sure it's okay. I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but thought I would mention it. Administration...if you're reading this..what do you think...good or bad idea?

Well... I don't see what this can't be left on the main board. I think we would attract more members with intresting topics to talk about. I was going to suggest adding a News forum. Controversial topics can be discussed while respecting others. I would just hate to have to "hide" to talk about them. Plus new members would have a hard time finding the groups we may form on our profiles and may feel left out and decide to leave.

On second thought I guess maybe that might be a good idea. This ladies on this forum may want this to be a more casual board instead.

Good idea Janet - especially right now, politics would be an interesting topic.
