Weekend plans?

What's everyone doing for the weekend?

Tonight I'm doing some shopping and housecleaning after work. I need to buy a punch bowl, some stuff for vodka punch, salad ingredients, and chips. Tomorrow afternoon a bunch of friends are coming over for an end of summer party, so I'm going to try to get as much done as possible tonight! My friend is also having a birthday party tonight that I might stop by just to say hello, and then Kyle and I are going to a movie (Pineapple Express).
Tomorrow is party day! After we barebeque and it starts getting cold outside, the guys want to rent the UFC fights (ugh) and then we're going to check out a band at this little bar.
And Sunday I will relax I hope.

The only thing I have scheduled for this weekend is a visit from an online friend and her family. I've met her only through the dog business, and we've gotten along well, so decided it was time to meet. I'm looking forward to that! She plans to buy a labradoodle pup and her son plans to start training to be a vetrinarian, so I'm sure we'll find plenty to talk about.

Well, we are supposed to have a baseball game. My 12 yr. old is a starting catcher for an invitational baseball team. Looks like the weather coming in is going to rain us out. I'll probably clean a little and then chill. We don't get to do that much with our baseball schedule. They play year round so we have no off season. Elaine

Not much planned here. I was hoping to go see that camper, but it is sold. We called about another and it is sold too. Guess there is a hot market for used campers...lol.

So I guess I'm going to bath and groom the dogs...that'll take up at leat 4 hours and then I'll need to clean the house a bit and of course, the never ending pile of laundry. Haven't done any for a couple days, so it will most likely be an all day thing.

Doesn't that sound like a lovely Saturday???? For Sunday.....who knows what excitement will happen....LOLOL

I'm in Rhode Island for the weekend - Jim and I will probably go out to dinner tonight and catch a movie.

I plan on catching up on some much needed sleep and reading, while taking advantage of the nice stormy weather we've so desperately needed!

Today I bathed and groomed all the doggies and got every bit of laundry done too. Tomorrow I think I'm going to sit outside in the swing and start reading the ebay books we bought. Hubby is ready to give it a try.

We went to a skeet shooting tourney for a while today. It was terribly hot so we only stayed long enough to see our 12 year old granddaughter win second place in her division - not bad since she was the only GIRL! Last year she won it, so I guess those boys "practiced up" this past year!!! Actually, she just got a new gun yesterday so I'm blaming her second place position on not being used to it!

I realize that some of you are aghast that she would shoot and own a gun - but we are a farm family (even though we live in town now) and almost everyone hunts. When I was growing up my parents/grandparents hunted to put food on the table. We grew or hunted almost everything we ate. Even now, we eat everything that is killed, no one hunts just for the sport. My freezer is full of venison (and fish because we all fish too) - it is much healthier than beef - very low fat.

Anyway, that's how I spent part of my Saturday!

Gayle, my 11yo g-daughter asked for a bb gun and shoots almost everytime she comes over.

I got clearance to go back to work on Monday, so I'm spending a fairly quiet weekend. I'm still on crutches and can't put weight on that foot. Of course, I don't feel that I'm ready to go back, but I'm giving it a try. I'm on the 12th floor and afraid of not getting out in an emergency.

Hubby and I went to gdaughter's 1st birthday cake today (2 hours hours away). It was a small gathering, not really a party. I hadn't seen her in a couple of weeks and she's walking all over.

Now I'm chilling while Hubby washes my car - it's lovebug time! My foot is very swollen from being down all day and aches like heck.

Yay! I'm not the only one with a tomboy granddaughter!

And if your foot is swollen from being up and around today - it doesn't sound like you are ready to go back to work!!
