Beans Update..

Well, Beans will be with us two weeks this Sunday. He was neutered the 22nd and already it has seemed to have stopped his "humping." The day after that little issue almost seemed worse and I thought "OH MAN I better send him back to be snipped some more. LOL" But since then he has just stopped all together. Now he's just one of the girls. You know sits around talking about shoes, Oprah. Ha ha. Anyway, he is fitting in beautifully. You know I've been told that I "Saved" him but honestly I think he saved me. When I lost my Newman last year then my Jersey this year I didn't tell anyone but I was in such a deep depression. I don't know what it was with this little guy but from the first day I saw him I had an instant bond with him and that is the first time that has ever happened with me. I have the girls and I loved them immediatly but this was different. There was something special instantly between that little guy and me. He gained 4 ounces in the first week we had him - not sure how much more now if any but he's still skinny but at least his backbone is not sticking out as much as it had. His potty training is coming along a lot quicker and better then I thought it would. He has accidents but very few and he knows that he's wrong when it happens. We don't yell at him - I think he's been yelled at enough but we do show him and tell him no. He has learned about Bully Sticks and LOVES them. He's not quite sure about how to play with toys or tug with the girls but he's showed interest in trying and I think soon he will be playing along with them. He absolutely LOVES the back yard and running through the grass with the girls and has wrestled with the girls a little. He's still very fearful of strange hands and of having his legs touched but he will let me hold his feet and legs in my hand now but still screams when he thinks the brush is going to touch him. I can now brush his face and back but not his legs or feet. Not sure what else. Oh he loves the car and he is much more relaxed while eating now. He sits with the girls and waits for his food and he knows that there is always dry kibble and fresh water out so he does not gobble down like he used to. His current weight is 4.4 ounces and he's 6 months. I was able to track the breeder down. A real nice woman and she is a small family type breeder with just 4 Yorkies - two of which she breeds occassionally. She had checked these people out prior to letting them have Beans and she was lied to other wise they would not have gotten him. It's a long story. Any how she had a contract that if they could not keep him they were to notify her which they did not do but she is alright with me having him since he's in a good home. She also sent me pictures of him at 2 days old and as he grew and of his parents. His mom looks like my Bella and his dad looks like my Lilly. I am really thrilled to have him. Elaine

P.S. Excuse the throw on the sofa. The dogs like to lay on the sofa and when we don't have company I keep a throw on it to protect it. Elaine
