And the weird weather continues!
What an odd year for weather here! It's been going from one extreme to the next. Last week there was a crazy hot spell with wayyyy above average temperatures. On Saturday I took Layla for a walk in capris and a tank top. I was wearing a light fleece jacket but had to take it off after a block because I was sweating. Then on Sunday it got really cold. Monday morning I had to scrape frost off my windows. Last night there was a big storm with a lot of rain and winds that kept waking me up. Now there is snow forecasted for Monday!
What happened to slow transitions between seasons? lol

The hole in the ozone layer! It is weird and we have had some tragic weather issues. It is global.
I personally think that God is trying to tell us something.

I agree.. it's gotta be due to global warming. Have you seen An Inconvenient Truth? The more the earth is warming, the bigger and more intense storms are getting. And people tihnk that it takes ages and ages... well I've noticed the change in my lifetime!

I have a friend who has lived in Alaska for 25 years. She says the winters have gotten waaaay warmer than they were when she first moved there. Also, the summers used to be very cold and rainy, but have improved drastically in terms of temps and sun. You would never be able to convince her that global warming does not exist, she has seen it first hand.
That said, this was the coldest summer on record in Alaksa - and the Farmer's Almanac predicts a much colder than normal winter for many areas. I agree that the hole in the ozone has caused much more drastic weather - more intense storms, more odd weather occurrences. Just think about the 3 devastating hurricanes that have hit in approximately the same place, LA and TX in the past 3 years (Katrina, Rita, Ike). That is very unusual - an area usually goes many many years between such devastating storms.

As I read all of your posts...I thought to myself...I don't know a whole lot about this subject, but hey...it's weather. It's been really nice here the last few weeks. Oh we've had some heat...cool at night...yesterday rain...today a bit cooler, but suppose to be a beautiful weekend...
Don't know much about the ozone, but I hope it stays away from Indiana.....lol.
