To clean or not to clean?

I feel like I should be cleaning my house up, but it doesn't make sense to do a hard cleaning. They're not finished and it will all get dirty again. I'm keeping up with the major dust and I think that's about all I can do.

It creates a lot of anxiety in me to have a messy, dirty house. I like it clean and neat at all times.

I am not a happy camper right now. I know I should be so glad that I'll have a really nice house, and I am. But...I don't have that now. What I have is a giant dirty mess.

Okay - I feel a little better now. I needed to vent a bit.

If it really bothers you and you don't mind cleaning - or if cleaning makes you feel better - then go ahead and clean clean clean. Of course, it will get dirty again, but is your mental health more important than looking at a dirty house???

Me - I would never clean (other than keeping the dust at bay) - but it would not bother me in the least. But if it did, I'd go ahead and clean to my hearts content - because that would make me feel better and in this case, how YOU feel, is all that matters!

Therein lies the problem! I hate to actually clean. I just love to have a clean, neat house. I can't see paying my cleaning woman to come in in the middle of the work, and I really really can't see cleaning myself.

If I drank, I'd say it is margarita time.

I know what you mean Judy. I like things nice and neat and clean too. I cleaned a bit today and I probably shouldn't have. I don't have a cleaning woman or any one else around here who cares what it looks like. Yes I'm venting too....LOL. I'll probably pay with back pain for running the darn sweeper. I would go ahead and clean, but that's just me...I can't stand to let it go.

I hope your back is okay now Janet. Take a couple of aspirin before you go to sleep.

Gayle,

I took your advice after all. I got out the Windex, my paper towels and cleaned all the things that were really bothering me. I also straightened up as much as possible.

Good advice! Thank you - I do feel much better.

You are welcome! I don't mind a messy house, a dirty one yes, messy no. I think I'd have to dust a little myself and I HATE to clean!!! Glad you feel better, sorry you'll have to do it again, but think about how much of your sanity that you've saved!
