The countdown is on!!!!
5 more days and I'll be in NYC!!!! I'm sooooooo excited! I called my best friend last night to discuss our plans until my phone died lol
So far our week is pretty packed but we do have a bit of time free for exploring and shopping. We'll get there late on Tuesday, and we're probably going to walk around Times Square because our hotel is just a block away and I'm pretty sure we won't be able to sleep (even after having to get up at 3 am to catch the flight!). The next day we have a Sex and the City tour, and then the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. The next day is the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the rest of the day is free! Friday is SHOPPING And we have dinner reservations at Mesa Grill. We may try to get broadway tickets for that night. I just bought a gorgeous dress on the weekend because this is going to be our fancy night On Saturday, our day is free, and at night we have VIP at the nightclub Webster Hall. Sunday and Monday we are doing a 48-hour hop-on, hop-off tour so we can see pretty much anything and everything we want to see! It includes the Holiday Lights tour at night so we can see all the Christmas displays lit up in the store windows. We may try to see another broadway show on Monday night. Then Tuesday morning we head back to our cold snowy home! I can't even explain how excited I am for this trip!!! It doesn't seem like it's this close already! Unfortunately, I've been feeling soooo sick! Yesterday I called in sick in the morning.... Okay I have to confess it was only half the reason I called in sick. The guy I am kinda sorta seeing just left for holidays too, and he's gone for 2 weeks... so I was kind of enjoying the last minutes of cuddling all morning. But I really was sick too so it's not a total lie!!! Anyways, today I'm still very stuffy, headache, sore throat, heavy chest... I'm really trying everything to get rid of this before I leave! I wish I could have stayed at home in bed today but there is just too much stuff to get done at work before I leave. And, like I expected, after telling everyone for weeks that I'm going on holidays, I had two weeks of NO work, and all of a sudden a million last-minute things have to be done by tomorrow Oh well.... just trying to keep my thoughts on NEW YORK!!!!

Wow!! You have a lot packed into your days in NYC!!! Are you just doing this on your own or are you with a tour? I think that a tour would be fun and I wouldn't have to figure out how to get places on my own but on the other hand, I don't like schedules. Have a good time and stay safe!!!!

It's all on our own! This way we can see all the things we want to see and skip things we're not so interested in! Luckily with our hotel being so close to Times Square, we're close to mostly everything. We are ON Broadway so we can walk to see shows, and both of the tours we're on start from Times Square which is just a block away! The parade also comes very close to our hotel, so it's also just a short walk.
We got very lucky and I'm glad we booked our hotel so long ago! I'm sure with the Thanksgiving season there's a lot of travel going on. My best freind Cherelle has been a lifesaver! I couldn't have planned it all on my own. I've been stressed out with just the half I planned! But she has documentation of everything we booked and everyone she talked to, plus she has books and maps and everything... very prepared

Please take lots of pictures Lindsey. I have always wanted to see New York, but I know it probably won't ever happen. Lots and lots of pictures. Stay safe and have a great time.

Don't worry Janet, there will be TONS of pictures! I was telling the guy I'm seeing about how I would need another card for my camera because the one I have only holds 300 pictures. He said instead of buying one I could borrow one of his. So he gave me one yesterday and said I should be able to take 1,200 pictures on it!!!

You are going to see so many wonderful things! I know you'll have a wonderful time. NYC is very busy Thanksgiving, and the Christmas spirit begins that weekend. It sounds great.
