Two Hour Delay
We are having a two hour delay today because of sleet and rain mixed. Roads are slick and I understand, but 2-hour delays just screw up my whole day. Guess I'll have to accomplish my plans tomorrow maybe.
I need to go to the bank, pay some bills, and then there were some places in town I needed to go and buy a few presents. Hubby finally gave a list. He does that all the time. Says he doesn't really want anything and then comes up with a list of at least 10 things. Sure hope he's not disappointed because I don't have much money left...I spent most of it on Ricky. His birthday is the 20th and then Christmas so since he'll be 18 (cry.....) next Saturday, I wanted his day to be extra special.

Boy, we sure are slow around here aren't we? Nobody's posted on this since early this morning? I guess that we're all busy with the Christmas season.
Sorry, Janet, that you had the delay. I'm sure that it's because of safety reasons. You still have several more days yet for shopping so I'm sure that you'll get everything done. Me, on the other hand, I'm panic-ing!!!! We've got plans to go to Wichita on Thursday and Friday to get ours done. It's always a nice get-away for my husband and I too!

Janet sorry you had a rough start but like Diana said its safety issues. I hate to rub this in but we had beautiful warm weather today. I went without a jacket it was like mid 60s so crazy. Tomorrow we are back to winter in the 30's .. I could get use to a warm winter, as I get older Fla. sounds so much nicer to me...

Sorry for the delay Janet - I can understand your frustration - but the kiddos have to be safe!
It was NOT warm here today - our first ARCTIC front!!! It didn't get out of the 30's. Yesterday it was eighty - freakin' - two degrees, yes, 82 yesterday and 36 today People were out in flip flops and shorts yesterday and today, well some people went out in flip flops and shorts today, but they retreated mighty fast

Janet, sorry for your delay. Hope the ice was gone when you did have to go out.
I think the high today here was 46 and very windy. Tonight it's supposed to get down to 30, so we had to bring in all the pot plants this evening. Ladies, up north, I know this does not sound cold to you, but when you are accustomed to warmer temps, and the cold here is more humid than where you are, so it feels colder than the actual temperature. I've skiied in New Mexico without a jacket where it was a dry cold, but 40 deg and windy here is very definitely jacket weather.
