My weekend!
Hi Ladies!
I had a nice weekend. Gary went to his hunting lease with a friend and he did fine. He's home now, and although he is tired, he is no worse for the wear! YAY! I know it felt good for him to get out and have a "guy" weekend! I think I already posted about keeping my 2-year old granddaughter yesterday and taking my 12 year old g-daughter shopping at the mall. Maybe not, can't remember, CRS setting in . Anyway, last night I just did a few things around the house, cooked a little bit, and generally enjoyed the quiet. Today I went to my 12 year old g-daughter's volleyball tourney. She just started playing in November, as did most of her team, so it was pretty painful at times, to watch them at first. But they have improved so much that it was pretty enjoyable. They won 2 of their 4 matches (winning two of 3 games in each match). I stopped at Walmart on the way home and got that shopping out of the way. Then hubby was home shortly after I got home. We are gearing up to watch the Super Bowl. We are going to get Mexican to go and eat at home (I'm having tortilla soup, he'll have roasted chichen chile rellenos). Hope everyone else had a good weekend!!!

glad you & hubby both had a good weekend. it's good that he can still get out and do the things he enjoys, which also gives you time to do what you enjoy.

Yes, if the time comes where he cannot do a little hunting & fishing, then he will probably be so depressed that he will die. Even when he was working, he lived for those sports. I say it is what "feed his soul" and I truly believe it. If/when those things are over for him, I fear he will be do depressed that he will not want to live!

Your weekend sounds really nice Gayle. Mine got off to a rocky start yesterday because of lack of sleep, but today has been a great day so far. Sure wish we had 3 day weekends instead of two....

It sounds like you had a good weekend!! Keep going to the volleyball games and you'll be surprised at how quickly they improve!! Jaci has played all through school and I love going to watch her play. Next year 3 of my granddaughter's will be starting and I plan on going to as many games as I can when Jaci's not playing.
You certainly got a taste of what I go through most of the week with watching a 2 year old!! I've never been one to be thankful for Friday but I find myself really looking forward to having time to myself. Karlie's really demanding and I've decided that I'm not going to let the TV be her babysitter so it's really been a challenge because it makes her more demanding when it's off. Saturday I cleaned the house. I have an uncle that his father just passed away and sometime in the next few days we'll be having some of my cousins come and stay with us for the funeral. It was so nice outside that I did a little bit of yard work!! I trimmed some plants that really needed it and then I took a 4-wheeler ride!! We have some trails in our back yard and I rode around on some of them. It was so nice to get outside!!! It makes me ready for spring!!! Then today after church we drove to Chanute and ate Chinese with Dae Lynn and Damon. They paid for our meal for my birthday!! It was a nice surprise. Then Glen and I went to Wal-mart and shopped around. I bought several things that I needed and picked up some new throw rugs for the house. They had roses on them and are so pretty. Then we came home and ate some supper and Glen and I played a new game that we got for Christmas called Khet. It's a laser game played with mirrors. Very different. I beat Glen once and he beat me once.
