Heavy Menstrual Cycle
Ok I know that I am premenopausal . I didn't get my period for March and April. Came back in May very lightly. Got it again on Monday, yesterday I was bleeding extremely heavy I was soaked and went through my clothes. I called Gyn. and they said if it continues by today to call the dr. and come in. I also have a history of Fibroid tumors in which are suppose to shrink once the period stops. Anyway I got up this morning and it was not so bad no clots or anything.. I am still bleeding but not soaking my pads or clots.. I have been stressed all week and have a bad migrane headache too...
I didn't call the dr. back today like I said I have not soaked the pads.. Anyone have this problem also? I have always had my periods more on the light side. Maybe another time it was heavy. This is not fun.. englighten me please ... Sorry if I am to graphic. Thanks! |

Gina...I wish I could help, but I have know advice to give or knowledge to share. Gayle is on vacation I think.
I didn't go through menopause the normal way. They removed a tumor the size of a small watermellon and they took everything else too....ovaries, tubes, uterus and cervix. It threw me into memopause real fast and I still suffer somewhat even though I'm taking a very low dose hormone. The kind of period you're describing were the kind of periods I had all the time..ever since my first one. I hope someone else here can help answer your questions at least until Gayle comes back.

Every month was a nightmare for me. Not only were they so heavy....I had cramps so badly that I had to stay home from school. It was so embarassing for me. I'm sooo glad it's over....wish I had a hysterectomy a long time ago...lol.
I'm glad you're doing better today.

I'm glad to hear that you're better, Gina. I had a period or two like that with huge clots. I was so moody that I was put on Prempro and at that time my period was slowing down, about to stop. The Prempro made my period come back and when I finally went off of it I quit completely. I haven't had a period for two years now but I still have the moodiness, off and on. I hope that you don't have any more problems.

I had 4 D&C's, which don't hurt at all. They would help for a while. I even had one in the gynecologist's office! I called it my drive-through D&C. I drove myself home! She was a Russian doctor and some of them have their own take on medicine. Eventually, all that bleeding stopped and the fibroid shrunk. I don't even think it's there anymore at all. I hope you don't have all of that. I had a bad case scenario, and I'm fine. I couldn't wait until the bleeding stopped though! I slept with two towels under me for a while. Gross....
