Goulash

I have had this recipe for a coupla months and decided to make it yesterday. It was fantastic!! I love cooking when you only have to use one kettle. A warning though, it makes a 5 qt kettle full, we shared it with our neighbor. He loved it too!!

2 lbs ground beef
1 lg onion chopped
3 cloves garlic
3 cups water
2- 15 oz cans tomato sauce
2- 15 oz cans diced tomatoes
2 tblsp italian seasoning
3 bay leaves
3 tblsp soy sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tblsp season salt
2 cups macaroni (uncooked)

Saute beef, add onions and garlic, saute about 5 min.
Add other ingredients except macaroni
Cover and cook 20 min.
Add macaroni, simmer 30 min. let stand another 30 min.
Remove bay leaves and serve.

My Mom used to make goulash when I was very young.
She browned hamburger and stirred it in a can of spagetti.. yuck!!
For years I hated goulash. The thought of it brought back that horrible meal.

Then a few years ago, a friend at work brought me in some of her goulash. It was so good, and now I am a lover of goulash!

Your recipe sounds good! Going to have to try it soon. Thanks for sharing!
