Proud of Hubby

Hi Girls,

I'm so proud of my hubby. He is(was) quite over weight. 300 + but not anymore.
He is type 2 diabetic and now has high blood pressure. Plus no job.
Now when i give him a hug I can get my arms around him. He's on meds for both and is watching his diet. It's slow but i can tell he's losing. I hope he keeps up the good work. He was a 36 when we got married. Before he started losing he was a 44. So now I hope to keep him around for a lot more good years.

Oh Linda, that is wonderful! It is so easy to put on and so hard to lose. I know a couple of diabetics that have really lost alot of weight after they were diagnosed. I hope your hubby continues with whatever has been working for him. I'm sure he is much healthier now.

That's great news! There's nothing that will help diabetes and high blood pressure more than losing weight. Often you can decrease meds for both as the weight goes down!

That's so encouraging to hear! Good for him, I know he feels better

My husband was put on insulin this year. He will NOT try to lose the weight he needs to lose. Sometimes I think he wants to eat more than he wants to live. He also has heart trouble. He has the attitude that he'll just enjoy the time he has here. It's very hard on me and my sons. Tell your husband we are all very proud of him

That is great Linda! I'm sure Gary will feel much better. I don't even know if I was diagnosed with anything if I could lose the weight. It's so darn hard that I gave up trying. There are enough frustrations in life.
