My dishwasher broke
I have to buy a new one, since the parts to fix this one come to a little under $200. I have an old Hotpoint, probably bottom of the line. It was fine for me. Actually, this is the first time I ever had a dishwasher!
There were a couple of things that got stuck under the lower arm. When I got them out, the arm hub had cracked. It might have cracked first. Nothing ever got caught in there before. I am upset to think that I may have cost myself a few hundred dollars if I broke it! But, dwelling on it for too long won't get my dishes washed. Any suggestions? I think the cheapest, reliable dishwasher will do fine. I really don't need any bells and whistles. I barely cook. I have a notion to just go online to Lowes or Home Depot and order one. They deliver and take the old one away. Jessie thinks I should go look for floor samples, etc. I don't really have the motivation or the energy to bother. I doubt if I will save much, because I'm buying an inexpensive one to begin with. I want to spend about $300. It will cost about $150 to have it installed.

I got my new appliances at Lowes. If you spend over a certain amount..I think it's 300.00 you can get a Lowes card and pay it off in a year with no interest. Good luck!

I swear when it rains it pours doesn't it? First your computer and now your dishwasher......bless your heart! I hope you can find a good deal! I just hate days when things like this happen all at the same time.

There's nothing I hate worse that appliances or electronics that don't work. I'm so sorry!
My dishwasher is not working properly right now either, but at least it washes. It just doesn't fill up with enough water to wash very well, so I just add water myself, then it works fine. I know I need to get a new one, but I just HATE THE HASSLE! Also our wireless router is not working so we can't get on the internet from the computer in the living room. I bought a new router tonight and my son-in-law will fix it this weekend. So, I have lots of sympathy for you!!! Hope things get fixed soon!

I'll sell you one Judy! $20
But seriously, I hope you find one soon. I'm only on my second day without a dishwasher and I hate it. Scott should finally have our new one installed tomorrow.
