The concert
Mackenzie sang in a Delaware County chorus yesterday, and Jessie and I went with the little ones. The auditorium was full, so we had the kids sit on our laps. Brandon was a good boy, but Kassidy.....not so good!
We were there for only about an hour. We left after Mackenzie's group was finished. Kass drove us crazy in that one hour though! She wanted to sit on Jessie's lap, she was tired, she was hungry, she was bored, it was Grandma's fault, could she go to the bathroom while Mackenzie was singing, and on and on and on! She cheered up as soon as we got out of our seats to get Mackenzie. On the way home though, during the 30 minutes it took to get to Jessie's house, both Brandon and Kassidy were crying because they both hit each other, they wanted McDonald's, Mackenzie was talking to us they had to interrupt every two seconds...OMG! When Jessie asked me if I was staying for a while, I said, "No!!!" They are cuter than anything, but I don't always have the patience for all of that fussing! They have so much energy! I wish I could borrow some. I miss them all today though

Judy....sounds like my bus ride twice a day...everyday....LOL. Sometimes I can ignore it and other times I have to get in their face and tell them to calm down or we'll take a stroll to the office. That usually helps. Not sure what you could do in your circumstance though. Me....I'm from the old school and if mine was going to act up and cry....I gave him something to cry for, if you get my meaning.
Good thing they grow out of it just hate that they grow out of the other stuff too. {{{{HUGS}}}}

Oh I know what you mean, Judy. I love love love the grandkids, but sometimes......
I've been there with Abigail (in earlier years) or Emma (currently) on my lap and I just wanted to SCREAM! Yep, I love 'em too, but whew! I'm glad they go home! LOL!

I have experienced this same thing with my two youngest ones. Morgan and Logan are only two years apart, 7 and 9, and there have been too many times when they started hitting one another and doing all the screaming and yelling. Their not as bad for that now but WOW it sure gets on your nerves!
I love them with all my heart but sometimes they can be a handful!! |

I can understand completely!! I've had times with my grandchildren that I just couldn't wait to get home where it's nice and quiet. Amy's two girls used to be the worst.....especially at shopping......of course, Amy didn't make them mind either. Now that they're grown they're a lot better and so much more fun to be around. We do love them though and are soon ready for another round!!!
