Been gone myself!

We are having MAJOR computer problems at work. We lost our server last Thursday from heavy rains we had move through and didn't get them back up Friday except for about 1 1/2 hours. Came back into work Monday, still down but we got them back up but they kept going down...grrrrrr.......I had so much work to do!! We had the computers up all day Tuesday and yesterday but....more rained moved in and we lost them again today! I probably had computer usage for a total of 2 1/2 hours all day today!! I'm still so far behind in work!!! We are expecting 2 inches of rain tonight so I can only imagine there will be no computers tomorrow when I go in. So, in case you missed me, that's why! I usually don't have time to get on the computer at home (kids are wanting it, things to do here) but I made time to get in here tonight. Hopefully, my computer will be up and working tomorrow when I go in to work

I have missed you!!!!! Glad to hear you are OK and it's just the computers that are down, it's frustrating when they don't work, hope they get fixed real soon so we can have you back!!

You have definitely been missed. I'm a little confused though. I guess I haven't seen how much rain Mississippi has been getting. Maybe they need to reroute all their computer lines if the rain is going to affect them so much. Does this happen everytime it rains? You'll just have to fill this dummy in on what's happening down there....LOL

I wish I knew myself!!! All I know is last week, we had some pretty bad thunderstorms roll through here (they came from Houston who had SIGNIFICANT flooding last week). Evidently, the thunder and lightening that came through interferred with our server thereby causing us to lose the connection. The thing is, our computer person based in Shreveport can remote in and reset it but it's not fixing whatever is wrong that now causes it to go on the "fritz" during rainy weather here. Our computers used to not do this - it's just been since we had those bad rains come through over a week ago. Until the tech person in Shreveport sees fit to drive over here to see why this keeps happening, it looks like it will continue each time it rains It's so frustrating!!!!! And, as I suspected, the server was down when I got in to work this morning at 7:25 - we just got them back up but not sure how long they will stay up!!
