Pregnancy Test + Birth Control
Does anyone know if birth control (the pill) can have any effect on the outcome of a home pregnancy test? Like, if you were on the pill, and took a home pregnancy test, could it same 'pregnant' because of the hormones in the pill when you were not really pregnant?
When you are on the pill your body thinks you're preggers, and it doesn't release eggs, so I don't know if this would effect a test. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Nope, birth control pills should not have an effect on a pregnancy test.

ALSO, there are no false positive results. If the test finds bhcg in the urine, you are pregnant because that's the only time it is there. However, a false negative can happen if there's not enough bhcg for the test to pick it up.

[QUOTE=Taurus Babe] Yes...but seriously, I don't wanna take away from Jess' thread so, just know its complicated and not a big deal.[QUOTE] The 'yes' was to 'am I asking about me', not to 'is there something I'm not telling' Maybe that's were things got confusing!

I agree. If it says you're prego, you're prego. If it says you're NOT prego, you could still be prego. And yes, you HAVE TO TELL US! Is this question for YOU?! If you are prego, we need to celebrate!
