Im still here Janet, haven't had to much free time to get on here, Micah has a cold, , and just getting a little Christmas shopping done before the last min. rush. So how are you doing? hopefully good. i'll try and get on here more after the holidays...

Doing good here Little One!!!! I'm so glad Diana was able to contact you. We all wondered where you were and if you were okay. I know how much you love watching Micah open his gifts so Christmas is going to be so much fun at your house. Thank you for sharing a picture of Micah too. I just can't believe how much he's grown....such a handsome little guy.

Oh, Haley, so good to hear from you. We were getting concerned. Hope all is will with your family and your work and good to hear that Micah is doing well!!!!

I just put a Christmas layaway away for Micah, wanted to get him all the learning, crafts and creative toys i could find him, got some play dough stuff, coloring books, and story books,building blocks, a work bench with wooden blocks, learning dvd's... so were going to be playing big time Chirstmas morning, i even got him a kitchen set, with pots and pans, can't believe Mike would let me get him that, but i told him that is creative play and Micah needs stuff like that, everything is so computerized these days, a child needs imagination creative play.. i didn't get him no computerized toys this year i think he's to young for that stuff...
i also ordered him A Beka learning books, i just love them they even had bible flash cards, i just love A Beka!!!

You're a good Mom Haley. So many kids are bored because the have no imagination. They are use to being entertained by whatever gadget is available.

Thanks Janet, i just think its so sad how many hours a child spends in front of a tv these days, or playing games on the tv.. they even have books now that read to your child! Sorry I would never take those memories back, I love sitting there and reading to my child. Making crafts and whatever he wants to do... He even helps me fold clothes and feed the dogs....

There is actually if you goggle it on the internet, a law suit against Disney Baby Einstein Dvd's cause the parents actually thought these Dvds' were going to teach there infant to be a brainy baby, also they complained of how many hours there infant spent infront of the TV!
The best part is Disney is giving these parents a full refund on the DVD's,, I just can't understand why some parent would put there infant infront of a tv for hours watching these dvd's.
I do have some of these DVD's, that Micah just starting watching and i really like them, Micah likes a couple of them but me i can't handle the classic music , and there just a dvd, not a miracle in a box... I guess they will try to sue, Elmo and Big Bird next LOL...

Thanks Judy, i guess i spoke to soon about how good he is doing, i picked him up from daycare yesterday and he had fluid draining from his left ear, now these people at daycare call me for every little thing that's wrong with Micah you would think they would call me if they see fluid coming out of his ears!!! So i called the doctors then called Mike, they got me in a 7 pm, he has a sinus infection that is draining out of his left ear, and he has an infection in the right ear, and on top of that he has pink eye from Daycare, oh boy what a mess.. It was hell putting drops in his ear and eyes, what a fight... I feel so bad for him, he didn't want to let me go this morning. But Grandma is home with him today so i know he is in good hands...I told her to call me if he is fussing and i'll just take a vacation day but i had to come in this morning and do some paper work were so short people here Always something hun?? My poor baby....

You're going to have to come up with a way to work from home Haley. That way you don't have to depend on daycare. Sure wish I would have figured out a way to do that. I know someone here that works for an insurance agency from home. They have their computers networked together or something, but it works great for her.

oh i hated to leave him this morning, he was so clingy and miserable... he was screaming for me when i left, makes you feel like s*** for the rest of the day..

I taught Jaci A-beka when I homeschooled her. I think that it has great curriculum and materials. I'm glad that you're back!!

Yep the tubes are doing job, the infections not up to the tube on the left that's why the infection is in that ear, so that's what the dr said, he's just miserable.. i hated to leave this morning... but a couple more hours and i'll be home.

Diana, i got the A beka books yesterday and they are wonderful, i got the abc's, 123's, and the craft book, and bible cards, the books are big and just wonderful, very colorful and the craft book has tons of activities for us to do. I been searching for books like this for a long time for Micah...

I'm sure he will judy, hopefully the tubes come out in April that will be a year for Micah..
The A-beka books are great, i was talking to a lady in daycare that use to teach some of the A-beka to her students but there not allowed anymore, cause they also teach the word of God and Jesus. It's a shame but that's the way the world is today.
