Your memoriabilia sounds so cool!!! I love that sort of thing!! How nice that you know the history behind it and that your Mother has the pictures to go with it. What a family treasure!!! I'm sure that the kids would find it very interesting to look through the albums with you!!

That is so neat Judy! I'm glad your grandson is showing interest. My grandfather fought in WWII as well, and after he passed away my grandma made each of her sons a framed set of his things. My dad got his orginal badge and star, which was recovered after their house burned down in the 50's, as well as pictures of him in his army gear. It hangs over the mantle in my parents' living room and I am so proud of my family history everytime I see it! My grandpa hated talking about the war, but I wish he was still alive to talk about it now.
