I get to go out tonight!!!

Not that I am going far, LOL, but our church is hosting a Christmas party for the women of the church!! Hubby is keeping the kiddos so I can go. There is going to be a gift exchange, special guest speaker, and lots of fun fellowship with the ladies of the community/church and a small meal.

I am so excited! I rarely get to go anywhere without hubby or kids!

Willow you go and have a great time. Sounds like something I would enjoy very much. Most of our guest speakers have been really interesting and the food....well you can't get much better food than what the church ladies can prepare!!

I had such a great time! I got a pine scented candle in a ceramic watering can in the gift exchange. The guest speaker was wonderful and talked about how all the different Christmas traditions came around..mostly about how Christmas trees came about and when we started to first use lights on the trees...and she and I both have a great love for books especially ones by Janette Oke and Gilbert Morris!

We had a good dinner and we stood around the paino in the sanctuary and sang Christmas Carols (until some of the ladies started complaining that it was late and they were tired and ready to go home!)

I had a blast!!

Yes I do!! I had never sang carols around a piano before though, and it was loads of fun!!

I must have needed it, even though it was only a four hour reprieve from reality LOL, because this morning it seems I am more patient with my children??? So maybe I was more stressed than I realized and last night was what I needed to relieve some of my stress.

Sometimes we get so stressed we don't think logically. If you can get away even for a 20 mintue walk around your yard (alone) it can really help. That's what I do if I can't think. Sometimes I feel so stressed I can't figure out what I need, but a few minutes alone really helps. I am so glad you had a great time.
