You're tree's put away ALREADY!!!! Oh, my. We just finished cleaning up the kitchen from Christmas dinner. After all the cooking & cleaning up, there's no energy left for taking down the tree. I'm taking a couple of plates of food to a widow in a little while, but when I called, she had just laid down for a nap, so she wants me to wait an hour or so before before going over.

Our daughters have a friend over who had no where to go for Christmas, and we are enjoying her company.

I'm really glad it is all over though. Now I can finalize all my notes for making things easier next year. One thing we did was have a fundraising group wrap our gifts this year. That helped a bunch, and they were glad to have our business.

Definitely on the down hill side!!!!

You and me both! I am so glad it is over! We don't go to my inlaws becuase of a lot of reason. We live 3 hours away and they never seem to think about my daughter any. My Granny (which is my daughter's GREAT GRANDMOTHER who is also 78) always sends something to my daughter for her birthday and for Christmas. My MIL (who is only 56) can't seem to mail her anything. Next time she sees us she MAY give her something. We have been to see them at least twice since my daughters birthday and they didn't give her a thing. She has other grandkids that live 10 min away and they A:WAYS get something on their birthday. I could go on and on about the things they do for the other grandkids and not mine... I just don't get it. Plus we talk to them several times a week...

This is one readon why I am glad it is over. THings can get back to normal. I always worry that sometimes it bothers my daughter. It prob bothers me more.

I will prob take down all of my decorations before New Years. I ma ready to get my house back.

I am so thrilled to have everything put up. I think this week while I'm off, I may do some serious cleaning. It doesn't need it too bad, but I'm in the mood, at least tonight I am. I always feel like cleaning after Christmas. It's like I have to start spring cleaning, so I don't have to clean in the spring....duh...does that make sense? LOLOL

I love the decorations too!! The tree looks wonderful, the stockings look so cute in front of the fireplace, everything just feels so warm and inviting, I wish Christmas season lasted longer!!

You ladies are like little elves....I love it!!! Now if I could have one special room that I could put all the decorations up and leave them....I would, but I have to make room for the tree, put up some of my everyday "pretties" so I'll have room for Christmas pretties, so it's like an obsession to get the house back in order!!

I do wish I felt the same way as you ladies!!!

Ladies.. Merry Christmas, my computer is not working great these days and am waiting for my nephew to reload. Hope all had a good one.

As far as putting decorations I keep them till the 6th of Jan. The Christmas season actually starts on Christmas, but with the media and all giving it a head start during Thanksgiving it loses its meaning as we approach the true Christmas season.

Janet, I can't believe that you had the energy to take your tree down and put it away!!!! Yesterday all I wanted to do was take a nap. Of course staying up until 3 a.m. the night before wrapping gifts didn't help!! Everything was really good and we had a lot of fun.

Next weekend my brother and his family will be here and we'll celebrate Christmas again with them. No gifts, but a lot of food!! So our tree will stay up at least until then, probably much later!!
