Was Santa Good To You?
I think I was a good girl this year. I received two books, Marley and Me and the one by Robin McGraw, a plastic drawer tub to put some of my sewing notions or material in, make-up brushes, money for a new computer monitor and a cooler/warmer type thing that you plug into a cigarette lighter or cell phone plug -in. Not sure if I will need it for anything, may take that back, not sure yet. I think that's about it....was Santa good to you too?

Most definitely!!! I got some shoes I've been wanting for a long time, a couple bags I've been in love with, some gorgeous necklaces, and new luggage, I came out of Christmas this year with just about everything I wanted and even stuff I hadn't asked for that I absolutely love!! I've got the best family a girl could ask for!!

Got lots of nice things, a really pretty new watch; a new 19" flat panel monitor with speakers (the one on this computer was a 14" so I was always on hubby's); gift certificate to Dillard's; sweater and a gift certificate to a day spa for a massage, facial, and some other stuff from my girls; a new dustbuster (I think hubby wanted one, so got it for me He,He); and a Le Creuset dutch oven. Santa was really good this year!!
Best part, though was watching my family open their gifts, and having them all together cooking together & just enjoying the day. This evening my daughters and I went to see the new Will Smith movie, The Pursuit of Happiness. It was so good!!!

Wow!! We all must have been pretty good girls this year!! I can't wait to hear what some of the others recieved too.
Even though I love the gifts I got, it was wayyyy more fun watching the others open theirs. ESPECIALLY my son. We didn't do much on Christmas day...besides open presents, we checked out the things we rec'd on and off throughout the day. I fixed a pork loin roast later in the evening and I started reading one of my books. It was a good day!

Ok ok, Hubby and I don't do much for eachother for christmas, but I had got some gifts like a month ago that were my early prezzies (computer, digital camera, and our new yorkie Maddie) so I knew that I wasn't getting much.
What I did get was a BLENDER!! and I have been wanting one of those for awhile..and my parents gave us a gift certificate to the movies and they are going to watch the kids so we can go!! Other than that we had fun watching the kiddos open their gifts and my parents came over for a ham dinner and my mom brought my favorite dessert...vinegar rolls!! YUM!! So now we are trying to decide WHICH movie to go see...Eragon, Pursuit of Happyness, Night at the Museum, or We are Marshall..lol It is a toss up for us right now! I really want to see either Eragon or Pursuit of Happyness....leaning more towards Pursuit of Happyness. |

I told everyone in another post that my husband and I had ordered a refrigerator for our Christmas gift. It wasn't suppose to come in for 3 weeks but they called on Saturday that it was in. When I told my husband he decided that we just HAD to have it for Christmas so he borrowed a pickup and drove out to Wichita to get it. So for Christmas my new fridge was all set up and going. I was very excited to get it.
The other things that I got was a couple of sweathers, a necklace, a portable cd player, a candle, a gift certificate to our favorite restaurant, and a set of sheets. Before we opened gifts we passed out little wrapped guns with little foamy discs (18 in all!!) and we all opened them and shot at everyone!! We all had a blast!!! We had little discs all over the house, in the tree, behind the couch everywhere!!! We had the kids wear sunglasses so they wouldn't get shot in the eye. We had my parents and my husband's parents here and I'm not sure what my MIL thought but the others participated in the shooting!! It was fun!!! One other thing I want to tell you about......My daughter gave my husband a present that was really funny. It was "Cold, Hard Cash". It ended up being some money that she froze in an ice cube!!! She handed him a gift that had been in the freezer and that's what was in it!!! The money wasn't rolled up it was flat and frozen in ice!!! Very cute!

Sounds like everyone had a great Christmas. Santa was pretty good to me as well. I got an Alabama Santa figurine, a new Alabama chair for baseball games, pajamas, lounge pants, candles, crystal vase, a printer with extra paper, ink, and battery to print out digital pictures (been wanting one of those!), and chocolate - not just any chocolate, GODIVA chocolate (is there any other kind???...LOL). The boys got what they really wanted with a few surprises thrown in.

I had a very good "take" for Christmas this year.
I got a Kodak Easy Share digital camera and printer dock, a cordless phone with all the bells and whistles, pJs, slippers, a quilt, a bath collection, dish towels to go with my rooster themed kitchen. I was very pleased!

You're going to have to start dropping hints in the days before Christmas!! Some men just never get IT. So start that hinting next year and see what happens.

highlans, this is the first year that my hubby has gotten me something I really love. We've been together 24 years! It's also the first year that I've actually given him a list of what I'd like. LOL Guess I'll have to try that again next year!
