If you had a family member.......
.......who was terminally ill and had absolutely no chance of recovery and they asked you to help them end their life and end their suffering, would you??

Although I wouldn't want them to suffer....."Thou Shalt Not Kill"
I would hope they would understand.

No, it's not up to me to end a person's life. Only God can make that decision. I believe that by helping a person commit suicide would be committing murder on my part. I also believe that a person who committs murder will not see the gates of heaven so I could not help them knowing where they would spend eternity.

I don't think I could do it. I would live the rest of my life thinking "what if"

Wow. What a loaded question....
I sat here thinking about this before I answered ...... but I'd have to say no. These days I HOPE doctors dont let people suffer and linger if someone was in terrible pain and crying to end it & with me knowing about it only - - I may be able to deal with that ....I've seen my husband break down due & it's very hard to deal with that kind of raw emotion - but I couldn't do it for someone I don't think. I guess I really don't know... but I do know one thing - no one should have to live in terrible pain waiting for their death day - if there are drugs.... then give them the drugs. |

I would like to say if a loved one asked me to help them pass I would but the truth is I do not think I could.
Yet for an animal no question we take them ofF to the vet and do not let them suffer should there be a differance if we love someone???? |
