Something Very Strange!!
When we were at the funeral home on Friday, I had forgotten to take a picture of my son to set out. So I pulled one from my wallet (last year's school pic) and placed it on a lamp next to the casket.
As I pulled out the picture, I remember thinking (selfishly) that this was the only one I had left of him in the 9 th grade. Well we came home Friday evening, I even got on the computer for a few minutes then went to bed. When I got up Saturday morning, hubby still asleep, I sat down at my desk to log on for a few minutes. That picture....that I left at the nursing home, was by my keyboard. Well to tell the truth, I was pi$$ed thinking my husband brought it home and I wanted to put it in the memory box to be buried with my MIL. We left for the funeral home again on Saturday...and stupid me forgot to take the picture back with us to be put in the memory box. When we got there, the picture was there! I couldn't believe it and neither could my husband, son, or any of the other family members. When we got home last night, the picture was still on my desk. I don't know where the 2nd picture came from...I only had the one.

I, too, think it was an angel, for sure.

Janet, that doesn't surprise me. A lot of strange things happened when my husband died and no one has been able to explain them. I always took them to mean that Mark was trying to comfort me.

Diana - I'll post them here

(We were all sitting at the kitchen table) 3. My oldest son and his wife went home long enough to get clean clothes because they stayed with me for 2 weeks. When they got to their house - their perfectly healthy English Springer spaniel was dead. 4. Mark worked for the State of Georgia and had a pickup truck assigned to him. His crew washed and parked it at the cemetery close to the gravesite. After the service at the cemetery, the truck would not start. Mark had NEVER had any trouble with that truck, but it had to be towed back to his office. 5. Mark's death was very sudden. A couple of nights after the funeral I dreamed I was in our bedroom going thru his clothes and he was suddenly there. He looked like he did when we were dating, very happy, very healthy, very young. I told him he couldn't leave again. He looked at me with that beautiful smile and said, "Everything's OK. You'll be all right. I don't have a choice. You know I love you, but I have to go." He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me. I woke up crying and could still feel his kiss. I've had many dreams where he appears and tells me things. He told me in one that I was doing the right thing and he was proud of me. He always tells me he loves me right before he "leaves". |
