Sad day in our little town

A sad day in Ironton..... Two Jr High girls were hit by a train and killed yesterday evening. Another girl with them survived and saw it happen, plus our mailman. He pulled the child from the tracks and tried to get to the other 2 but it was to late. Please pray for our community and for the families of these girls.

How sad. I'll be saying prayers for your community. I, too, live in a small town and I know how devistating it can be.

Oh this is just horrible! My heart goes out to everyone affected by this terrible tragedy. God bless all of them.

OMG!!! What a horrible HORRIBLE tradgedy!!! I can't imagine what those parents are going through and don't ever want to. I truly pray they can get through this as well as the whole town. That poor girl and mailman that witnessed it all. Going to be a lot of sleepless nights.

Add my prayers to the list. We lost a boy who was like a son to us about 16 months ago, when he was hit by a train trying to take his 4-wheeler off the tracks. It is simply devastating. He was 18.

While you're all praying, please include the family of Mckayla Fernholz... a 9 yr old who died yesterday morning after a long battle with cancer. I used to be married to her dads uncle, so while I know the family pretty well, I doubt I'll go to the funeral.

It's just so sad when children die.

So very sad. None of us are guaranteed a tomorrow, but to go so very young..I just can't imagine being a parent in that situation. My heart goes out to them.
