I missed you guys!! Brendon and I just got home about 10 minutes ago. It was a tough trip because Brendon's family are not the easiest people to get along with. They are all very loud, they say EVERYTHING they think, and they are AWFUL at dealing with conflict, and they have a hard time seeing things from other people's perspectives; a bad combination. His sister loves to cause drama and she did just that. Anyway, we are home now and things are good. Other than that drama, we had a wonderful trip. We have some great photos that I'm uploading to my computer right now. I will share them with you as soon as they are ready.
The trip back was much easier. We made it home in about 7 hours and had some wonderful conversation (and lots of laughter) along the way. Anyway, I'll post pictures soon!

Welcome home - so glad you had a safe trip and lived through a dysfunctional family reunion. It sounds like you and Brendon have a great marriage. Good for you! I love to hear that.

Thanks Judy!
Here are some of the pictures! I have SO many, it's hard to choose the best ones to put on here for you guys!!! 1. Pittsburgh, what an amazingly beautiful city! I took this picture at about 11 o'clock at night and the city was bustling! I just loved how the colors bounced off of the rivers. 2-4. We met such a nice couple at "our spot" in W. Virginia about halfway through our trip. We stop there every time and go on a short hike up to the overlook and then take pictures. This time, the guy from the couple was a hobbyist photographer and so he took a few pictures of us and we did the same for them.

Some more!
1-2. Brendon's artist shots at the West End Overlook (the same place I got the picture of the city above). 3-4. Brendon's adorable little nephews. They are 7 months apart and they're just SO cute together!!

Some more of the nephews! They were just too adorable so I took lots of pictures of them.

And my favorite part...the boys had a small swimming pool but it was too cold to play in it when they woke up from their naps so they just splashed around a little (and ended up getting completely soaked anyway, lol). Brendon and his mom and his step-dad ended up having a water fight with each other as well. I had the camera so I avoided it, lol. At the end, Brendon let the boys "push" him in the pool. Isn't he adorable!?
*End of pictures* hehe, I don't want to bore you too much. :P

It's good to have you back!! The picture of the city is beautiful!!! I love it when people share shots of places that I know that I'll never get to go to. The picture of you and Brendon's at the side with the view next to you is really nice too. You should have that one blown up and framed. It looks like you had a good time. Inlaws are always hard to visit. Mine have their problems too so it's always nice to come back home. Anyway, glad you're home and safe and sound.

Thanks Diana. Luckily I was not really involved in the drama at all. It was between Brendon's brother and sister and his mom, but it was mostly his sister causing the problems. We tried to stay out of it as much as possible, but it was quite uncomfortable.
I'm glad you enjoyed the picture, especially the one of Pittsburgh. I think that's one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken.

It sounds like you had a great time! Glad you were able to enjoy yourself! What part of WV did you go through? I am about 10 to 15 min from the WV border.

What great pictures - the city picture is wonderful and so is the other shot through the trees. The kids are too cute and you and Brendon and, of course, Marty, are wonderful together.
