First day of school tomorrow...
My son is going into 2nd grade tomorrow and my daughter is starting 1st. This is the first time that both are going to be gone all day and I'm a little sad. My house is going to be sooooooooo quiet without them and I don't know what I'm going to do with myself all day. I mean how much cleaning can you really do!
Oh well it's just me and Brutus! |

You will be okay and you will come to enjoy that time while they are gone. My Daughter started all day kindergarten in a year round school this year and i felt the same way you do. She started the middle of july so i am used to it now.

My kids started school 2 weeks ago and I know how you feel, it's always sad when the leave, but take this time and enjoy "your time" do something for yourself. If you dont work, then maybe you could volenteer somewhere. Or find a new hobby that you have always wanted to do. I know I have been playing around with my Camera a lot more since the kids went back to school and my favorite subject is Lillie!

Oh my goodness! I feel like such a heel! I have a 13 yo and a 10 yo. I have always homeschooled them up until last year. My dd (13) went to school and this year we are sending both of them. I put a "party" sticker on my calendar to mark the first day of school! LOL After all those years of always having them home I am ready for some me time---although, I am so busy I still don't have much of that. Everybody is happy now!

I'm sure you'll find plenty of things to fill your time!
You should volunteer in your kid's classes! I know students in my class love it when their mom/dad can come in to do something. |
