Useless Woman...
I am getting really depressed. I have had only one appointment this week! I don't know what to do. Steven is impartial to the problem because he doesn't see it as me NEEDING a job, but I feel like I do because that is what your supposed to do as an adult, and if I don't have a job, it will be my fault when we fall in to debt! I can get another job, but I really like working at the day spa, and I can't really do both as the day spa requires the you to be "on call".
I am just sooooooo freaking bored, upset, depressed and tired of feeling absolutly useless!! |

I am so swamped in work that I can't remember what you are making appointments for - tell again please? Is it for nails? Check out the freebie business cards on vistaprint - you have to pay shipping - and make one up that you can pin on bulletin boards and pass out, leave stacks at coffee shops, etc. Promote yourself!
Home businesses have such tough downtimes. How about joining your local women in business group? |

Maybe you should run a special on nails in the newspaper. That should help you get some new customers. That's what they do in our small town when a new girl comes into a salon.

The buisness cards would work, I already have my own. I am not self-employed though, so I can't run specials without the day spa owners approval. I feel a little better today, I talked to my boss and she said to just enjoy the rest because holiday season is coming up soon and we will be smamped! She's usually right, and I have put my name in for holiday hours including saturdays. I just need to enjoy this I guess! |

That looks like a nice spa, and the prices are good. I have a couple of friends who have their nails done at their nail tech's homes.
I have my hair done at my stylist's house. She converted a little piece of the garage She needs a sink, etc. so she needed a whole room. She's able to charge less than a shop and does fabulous work. I've been going there for about 4 years now. Just a thought.
