My friend got married tonight...

...and I was her photographer! She and her new husband were by far my favorite bride and groom I've ever photographed. They were so sweet and nice and just really enjoyed each other.

Here are a few pics of Holly and then a few of her and her new husband! What do you think?

Angie, you did a really nice job. The pictures look great. I guess I didn't know you were really into photography that much. I knew passionfruition was a photographer. How many weddings or other occasions have you done?

I always loved taking pictures..when I remember..lol. I was just never good at all the lenses, f-stops stuff and all the technical terms. Seemed so difficult for me. So I just try my best with my little digital camera. You do nice work, girlfriend!

Thanks Janet and Tink!

Janet, I've done several weddings with other photographers, mostly my friend Lauren--who did MY wedding! (Here's some of her work, it's mostly her paintings and drawing, but there's some photography there too.)

This is my second that I've done by myself. Well, Brendon comes along as my "second photographer" but mostly just because I get nervous and also it's nice to get different angles at the same moment, but I am the main photographer. (Pretty scary!) I have two friends who just graduated with Photography degrees, one of which is going for his masters in photography as well, and they both have taught me SO much. We go out to do "couple" shoots together sometimes. We all have fun and it's a great learning experience--especially for me! But yes, long story short, I've done a few weddings and I really enjoy it.

Now this time I may need help from you ladies. I'm designing Holly and her husband a wedding album and it's my very first one EVER! If I post pics, could you guys give me suggestions? I haven't started yet because I still need to process a lot of the photos, but when I do start, I'd love your feedback! Thanks!

You are good at this! They look beautiful, and you caught them looking so happy.

Maybe that should be your second career?

I'd love to help with the album. It sounds like fun.

Okay, so here are a few of the album pages (just a rough draft since I haven't finished processing all of the pics yet).

The first is the album cover. On the second one, the names won't have that dotted orange color around them when it's printed and in the last one, there will be another pic on the right side between the two small pics.

I will definitely need your help with the flower girl/ring bearer section. There are WAY too many cute ones to choose from. Those kids were just SO photogenic! Aren't they ardorable?!

One more pic to come...

Here's the last page in the album. It will probably change when we process more, but these are two of my favorite "newly married couple" pics so far.

Wow!!! Really nice, Angie!!!! I have one suggestion on the page that's in black and white and they're cutting the cake. The pictures in the corners don't look right on that page. I would re-work that one. I think that I would make the black and white picture smaller instead of having the colored pictures on top of it. Otherwise I think that it looks really nice!

Angie the pages look wonderful. I do agree with Diana about the B & W with the two color in the corners. My eyes are drawn to the color pictures more than the bigger B & W.

You should really do this professionally Angie...you're quite good!

Thanks for the suggestion about the cake cutting page. I was testing out different things, but if that didn't work, I'll try something else. It's my first album so I still have LOTS to learn!

Goodness, I wouldn't have the time Janet! lol! I mostly just do it for friends or "friends of friends" who just can't afford the enormous amounts that most professional studios and wedding photographers charge. It makes me feel good to be able to do something so memorable for them and not make them go bankrupt in the process. lol

This is what Holly, the bride in these pictures, said in an email...
I am so happy cause i wanted a photographer so bad but it was so out of budget... you have made my wedding day more exciting for me now.. the things i wanted for my day was a big white dress and bo and photographer... wow... i am happy

That just made my day. It's one reason I want this album to be AMAZING for her! She's such a sweet girl!

(I went off topic, sorry!) Thank you guys for your compliments! Soon I'll post all of the flower girl/ring bearer pics so you can help me decide which ones should be included in the album. I think choosing is the hardest part! *sigh*

That is wonderful that you can do it for her and make her day even more special. Still...you may want to keep your options open Angie, doesn't mean you still can't do special photograpy for special people.

Once you're out of school and have a little more time, you may want to think about it. You really are good not just taking the pictures...anyone can take a picture, but you're able to capture the feelings also. I like looking at pictures and feel something...you do that.

You are such a good friend, Angie. In spite of being so busy yourself you manage to help out your friends. Photography will be a nice hobby to have when you get all busy with your career!

Wow, congratulations! The pics look great and your album design is neat too. You're so creative and truly have a knack for this!

Two thumbs up from me!
