I could just kick him sometimes
As you all know Logan has been sick on & off since christmas. I have taken him to the vet 3 times since then. I have changed his food, gotten rid of hooves, bought him new expensive chew toys that are supposed to be better for him & stopped feeding him people food. Most of the vets think the people food is what's upsetting his tummy. So last night what does my hubby do while we're having pizza, he gives him a piece of pepperoni. I've read that pork & salty foods are really bad, so I'm guessing pepperoni is one of the worst things for him. I go off on him, I don't yell at my hubby often, but I'm PMSing & I hate when logan doesn't feel good it makes me so sad. I was all like what part of no people food don't you get. I told you he can have noodles, carrots, plain chicken, plain hamburger, cheese, peanut butter & that's it. Do you like to take him to the vet every 3 weeks? Don't you feel bad when he's sick? I think I finally got through to him. I know it's hard not to feed him since we started it, but it's what's best for him & I can't lose my little love bug. UUUUGGGGHHHH sometimes boys just don't get it.

I don't think any one gets it except us Mommies! Poor Logan, I do hope he continues to stay well. I know so many of the YT crowd really put down Science Diet, but you should see my dogs coats, their bright eyes, and their blood work is always great and they are so healthy. All of them. I've always fed SD. I figure if it's working, why fix it.
I hope you can find something that is good for Logan. These little ones sure take over our hearts done't they? Hubbies just don't get it....usually...LOL

I'm switching him to Pro Plan sensitive skin & tummy. YT hates proplan too, but it's what my whole family feeds & we have very healthy dogs. I think it will help with his itchies too cause it doesn't have corn in it.

Sorry that Logan's still not feeling better. I don't feed Reuger hardly any people food. If I do then it's just plain chicken, hamburger, or meat. No other ingredients. I feed him Science Diet Sensitive Skin because he scratches all the time. I'm starting to think that maybe we have fleas really bad in the front yard because of the other dogs. Next spring I'm going to spray the yard. Sometimes husbands are as hard to train as the dogs!!!!! Good luck!!!!

From what i've been reading on YT I think logan has been having boughts of pancreatitis. I told my hubby we are cutting out people food all together. I'll probably still let him give carrots, but that's it. He thought I was nuts, I told him that these boughts always happen right after we have arby's, my hubby gives him roast beef & fries. I think i'm right that there is a corrilation. People food is out. I got these little training treats from my mom & put them by my hubby chair so he can give those instead. I'll have to work on it too. I was giving cheese, but that might be too high in fat for him too. This makes me so sad, but I would rather him be a little sad then have to deal with chronic pancreatitis. I just sent DH an article to read on it.
