So why are they bothering? I would assume they're saying that it's to get more money flowing, but it certainly is a silly idea if we have to lose it next year. This is why having politicians running the country was never a good idea! You need a bunch of women to sit down over coffee or tea with a list and we can solve many of these problems. After all, we can raise teenagers and live to talk about it!

Judy, I "think" this is more to make the republicans look better than any other reason. Once the elections are over, I'm guessing there will be a democrat in the white house, and if the economy is looking down, they will be shoving it in the faces of the republicans for the whole term. So by giving this little illusion of prosperity before they switch over, it will simply look better on the books. And then next year when everyone gets less of a refund it will be noted that there were democrats in power when it happened.
It's all political game playing.

Hi Tink,
You're on too I see. It's you, me and two spider aliens. I think you're absolutely right. We can all be mad at Hillary or Barak for this. Do you really think we'll have a Democrat this time? I'm not sure what the more conservative population is up to these days on the issues. I agree with you about McCain looking like a dead fish. That's a great description of him. His wife is some blond classy hottie! He married arm candy.

Exactly Marilyn!
It's all very choreographed and well timed to make us think what they want us to think! It's our job to look past it, and under each rock to decide for ourselves what is really going on.

I was wondering why the terrorist alert was suddenly raised, with no reason given.
I must get a rock up in my apartment so that I can peek under it when something like that happens! By the way, I caught Michelle Obama on Larry King yesterday. She's a keeper! I was totally impressed with her values, her way of presenting things, and her intelligence. She is politically savvy, but I think she would be an asset to the White House. I don't agree with George W's politics, but I also love Laura Bush. She's another special woman. I think "W" is probably a nice person too. Sweet, a bit dumb, and probably a down to earth man. That's my perception of him of you take away the fact that he's President.

Sadly, getting the rebate checks IS a VERY political issue. It's given out to make us think about how much wealthier we all are when republicans are in control... as opposed to democrats who spend it all on programs for the poor. LOL
It's a long running game... I can remember my Dad talking about it and he's been gone since 1991!

You listen to Tink, Haley, she knows what she's talking about. Everything is political now...we just have to open our eyes and see it for what it truely is.
