Deposits trickling in

I have first and second choice reserved from Canada's litter and first choice reserved from Bella's litter. Not quite as quick as I'd hoped, but have one more supposed to be in the mail on it's way to me and my site's staying active too.

My puppy money goes first and foremost to supporting my dogs. So today I've ordered this seasons K-9 Advantix for all of them, vaccines for the pups, health record folders for the pups, have 110 lbs of food bought for them, am waiting to hear back on chips grooming appointment and have cash set aside for the puppy wormer which I'll buy in a couple weeks.

I have also started collecting materials for more runs so I can separate the dogs as needed. Greg says I can do what I want with the money so figure this is the best use of it to start out with. I'd feel rather guilty cutting into the household budget for these things.

I'm so excited!
These dogs love to have jobs... and I had a call from someone this evening who wants a pup that would be trained to work with him. He's a police officer who does water search and rescue and so the dog would have to be very friendly, willing to approach strangers without hesitation, would have to love the water, be able to manuever in tall grass, etc. I can't be at all threatening looking, and should be as low shedding and hypoallergenic as possible. Quite a long list!

I'd LOVE if I can get my pups known in a working capacity! This guy knows someone who has a pup from Canada's last litter and is very impressed with that one, which is why he looked me up. My fingers are crossed that one of my pups will fill his needs.

Wow! That is so fantastic. You might become known for breeding dogs suited for jobs like this!

It's a good thing you didn't get that stupid job from that place I'm boycotting!

Very, very exciting!!!

I have been telling my husband so much about you and what you are doing. He told me I just have to show him what one of these Labradoodles looks like. He saw a chocolate lab in the front yard the other day and that started our most recent conversation about you and your chocolates.

Hope this works out for the police officer and you!!!

Thanks Marilyn, I'm really enjoying myself watching these little sweeties grow.

I think I lucked out again too... I'd placed a couple ads looking for some used kennel panels so I can split up the dogs as needed... such as when one's in season and I don't want her bred, or when they have a litter and don't want the other dogs near them... Last night I got a call from someone who has several 6 foot high 5 and 10 foot long industrial panels that he wants to get rid of. They're much more heavy gauge than what you'd buy at Lowes etc in their kennel packages. He also has gates, and a few in not so great shape that he'd toss in for "parts" for repairs down the line. These connect to each other with no poles or posts needed. So you can put up a kennel in 10 minutes if needed. All together he has about 20 pieces and offered them to me for less than 2 of the cheap Lowes kennels would be.
IF all goes as planned we'll be picking up the panels tomorrow.
