Positive aspects

I've had several positive things happen in my life recently.

1. finding new friends at my job and here.
2. finding a different job.
3. reconnecting with a friend I'd lost touch with for far too long.

It's so easy to just dwell on the negative that I thought it would be refreshing to
focus on the good stuff too now that we have this space.

Anyone else want to add their list?

Beyond all the things that have happened recently,

1.) I do have a great family (immediate and extended)
2.) Wonderful friends here and all around me
3.) A job I really like
4.) Able to pay our bills,
5.) Health
6.) A hard working husband
7.) A great son

This is a wonderful idea Tink,we need to concentrate more on the possitive things in our lifes. This whole world is filled with negative ,fearful things. To let these influnce us all the time only brings depression and and fearful expectation. But most of us have so many more blessings in our lifes than the troubles that come our way. My most possitive and blessed event happend 31 years ago when i accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. He has been my best friend ever since and has brought me and my family through every problem that has come mine and their way.And they have been many ,yet his grace has been suffient for me and mine and will be for anyone that will put their trust in him. He has been so good to me and i know any of you that know him can agree to that.If you don't know him yet,you can ,it's easy.

hanau, as a believer myself, I often wonder how those who don't have faith make it through the rough times. When the going gets tough here I just pray and hand it to God to fix what I can't. I don't have to be "superwoman" when I have a higher power supporting me. My ideas for solutions to lifes problems are so limited in comparison to what God can do anyway. I'm often suprprised at how things that seem insurmountable just fall into place when I hand them over. You'd think I'd have gotten used to that, but it still amazes me often.

The tough part is being able to hand things over without grabbing them back. Anyone else have that problem? It's like a child with a broken toy coming to you to get it fixed, but they can't keep their hands off it long enough for you to get it done!

I know Tink,I wonder about that too.I am so glad to know that you are a believer too.I am so thankful for God's help in all the diffrent areas of my life and my family's.I would not want to live in this world without knowing him and being able to trust him. When i accepted Jesus about 31 years ago,i was so happy. But the way i feel about him now is beyond words. He has been so wonderful to me and has truly been my best friend. Not that i don't have friends ,but with all their love and good will towards me ,they are so limited in what they can say to me or what they can do for me,when the problems of life try to overtake me.But the Lord can and will help and see anyone through any sitiuation,if they only look to him and trust him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The problem is like you said,we must leave it with him and not try to get in his way by doupt ,unbelieve or worrien when and how he is going to "fix"whatever needs fixing in our lifes. But looking back at my 31 years with him,he has never failed me when i put my confidnce in him.He alway's came through for me,Not alway's when i wanted him too,but alway's on time.He is so good ,isn't he?the answer for I know he has done the same for you. And in this world we are living in , with all the negative and scary things that are happening all around us daily,i can't think of no greater possitive thing to say."Jesus is the answer. God bless you.

I don't know how or why, but my new boss is just psyched about having hired me.
He keeps making comments about how with my input the bank is just going to grow and he's so glad to have someone there with him who he feels so confident about. I really appreciate his faith in me, and want to succeed rather than let him down. I don't know what he thinks I have that they've been lacking, but hey if he's so happy I sure should be!

We had to fill out an emergency contact form today so he found out my medical problems and asked for more info "just in case" so I explained about my nitro tablets and how my body doesn't handle stress well, so the resulting adrenaline makes my coronary arteries collapse, etc. He told me this job is NOT stressful and if I start to feel it is, I am to come to him immediately so he can set it straight before I get sick over it. LOL

It's really nice to have a boss who is so appreciative and encouraging. So far he's approved all my proposals and invited me to go with him to do a promotional thing on Saturday. He said he just wants to be able to introduce me as his new supervisor and see if I can "work my magic" on a few prospective new customers.
I guess I'll have to see if I can find a magic wand to take with. LOL

I wish I'd have had this kind of encouragement 20 yrs ago! But hey I'll take it and enjoy it now.

Tink, i am so happy with you for the way the lord is blessing you.He has given you favor with your boss,so just thank him for it and forget about needing a "magic wand" to help you do what is expected of you. God will finish what he started,he will be there for you .But i know that you know that.
