We ended up with 7.5 inches over the 2 days. Yesterday was beautiful - you could hear the grass growing!

We only got 0.6 inches of rain over the weekend. Cuero, just north of us, got 7 inches in 2 hours on Saturday. We're downstream, so now the river is really up. It's expected to crest at 5 to 6 feet above flood stage, which is not considered to be a significant flood. There was lots of trash floating down yesterday. No flow in a long time, so lots of trash to wash downstream.
Our county is still considered to be in an exceptional drought, the worst of five categories on the U.S. Drought Monitor. They say it would take 12 inches of rain spread over several days to end the drought.
