Tobie/in the hospital tonight

My son came over to wish me a Happy Mother's Day, sat down on the sofa and Tobie set up on his hind legs and feel backwards and hit his head. We heard it crack, he went stiff as a board, make a long story short, rushed him to the
EV and he has a concushion, they told me that if I brought him home that I would have to monitor him for 24 hours, and that he could not get excited, so I left him there, because before I left I asked to see him and he really got excited. So they took him away because they didn't want that.I knew that if I brought him home and something happened, I would kill us both driving him to the EV. Thank God my son was here when it happened to drive us.
He is my granddaughters baby and I have been sitting him for 10 days. We have become so attached to this little guy/ My granddauther just arrived back in the Country and we will visit him in the hospital in the morning.
Prayers.

OMG!!! Poor Tobie! You must be so worried, but if he is at the vet, he will be watched carefully and will be just fine.

Donna, I'm sending Tobie lots of prayers and a big hug!

A glass of wine might help. You don't have to watch over him, so you might as well try to relax a bit.

I feel for you Donna!

Not wine, had a drink of whiskey. Don't think I will sleep tonight no matter what. I love that little guy so much.

He is home but I have to keep him quiet for 2 days and with Tricksie, they are driving me crazy. You would never know that anything happened to him, he is full of pee and vinegar. I have in the play pen, he does pretty good and can be sound asleep and the min. I leave the room he starts crying. Wish my Granddaughter didn't have so many problems right now so she could take him off of my hands for a lttle rest.
Thanks for you thoughts.

I'm so glad that he is doing fine! I bet it is hard to keep him quiet! I think when vets give that advice, they should have to do it themselves to see how hard it is!!! LOL!

The vet says he is fine, wish they would give him something to calm him.
Today is the last day that I have to keep him calm, hehehe.

Donna. I am so happy to hear that Tobie is feeling much better.. I am trying to find a post that I had written a few years ago on here when Gucci fell. I can't locate it.

Gucci was a puppy back then and to make a long story short she fell off my couch about 3 to 4 ft. unto my ceramic floor. She lost her footing. Well all I heard was a crack and when I ran down I saw Gucci on her back not moving I thought that she had died. So frightening. I took her to vet she started coming around. She was fine I took her home that night and watched her.. Never a dull moment!!

They are more resilient more than we can imagine.. Toby will be fine.. Now have another glass of whatever your drinking..lol

Wow, that was a long fall. Tobie was standing up so maybe fell 20 ins. but on ceramic tile. I took the stairs away so that he can't get on the sofa.
He is so full of energy.
