Please Keep Kat In Your Prayers
Hi all...this was posted by Kat's daughter Jenny on another forum...please keep our Kat in your prayers.
Hello Everyone: As a courtesy, I wanted to tell the group that my mom has been sick for several days and my sister and I BEGGED her to allow us to take her to the hospital. She finally gave in today....she was admitted. Yorkiekat (my mom, Kathy) is now in Elmhurst Hospital, Main Hospital Phone Number 630.833.1400, in Illinois. As many of you know, we have been worried about her lungs for some time and I am thankful that she is getting treatment tonight. She really needs to QUIT smoking, if anyone has any helpful hints for her or I (to help her). Tonight, we learned at minimum, she does have pnemonia and we are hopeful to have her online with her laptop soon from the hospital, to make it more enjoyable. Please pray for her and encourage her....I want her with us and smoking is not the key! Thanks everyone. Hugs Jenny

Thanks for posting, Janet.
Kat, you just read what your daughter wrote. I personally don't know how hard giving up smoking is but I watched my Dad struggle with it for years. In reality that's what killed him. Your daughters are begging you to work on giving up this habit so you can spend more time with them and their children. They want you at school programs, by their side when their kids are sick, at birthday parties, at holidays, and so much more. I can't tell you what to do because ultimately the decision is yours. My Dad has been gone for 3 years and with my four kids and 6 grandchildren look at all that he's missed. It was his choice to keep smoking when the doctors had warned him about quitting. My Dad was a very young 68. I can understand the cry of your daughter's heart. Good luck, Kat and I'll be praying.
