Rain and Cooler Temps!

I have 3 inches of rain in my rain gauge! Yesterday at 6:00PM it was 95 today at 6:00PM it was 62

I planted my lettuce last night - I hope the rain and cooler temps will make it grow BIG!

I know I guess it stalled somewhere between Austin and Carthage. Right now we are still supposed to have highs in the mid to high 80's It should cool off a little at night, but not much.

That is so weird!!! It was supposed to be 71 for a high today, but it didn't get out of the 60's. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 77, then 81 on Thursday. I hope they are right! I love the cooler weather - although it was a bit chilly this evening as the wind was blowing - I know, I know - NO COMPLAINING! LOL!

It's 58 here right now I was so chilly when I came home, I put on jeans with a long sleeved shirt.

Do you have any idea how long it's been since I put on JEANS!!! I'm thinking it was back in March!!! WOW! They say it will be nice and cool till Saturday when we will probably warm back up some.

Last evening, on the back porch, felt like being in the tropics - a cool breeze with some ground warmth. Perfect weather for a margarita. A friend of mine came to get one of the poopies and we sat out there for a couple hours. Harold grilled some veggie kabobs and life was great!

We're getting summer late up here! There have been quite a few days that have broken records already this month, yesterday was another, and today will be another. This is supposed to be the hottest September ever recorded! The temperatures are around 32 degrees C which converts to around 90 degrees F.
When I was little, there would be snow on the ground in the next couple of weeks! For the past 10 or so years I'd say, there's no snow at Halloween anymore. Most of the leaves haven't even started changing color yet. In the next few days, we should be dropping down to normal again... around 15 degrees C (~60 F).

We've been chilly here. We've been dropping into the 50's at night and then slowly warming up in the 70's. That's just a little too cool for my liking. It's been hard to get out of my nice cozy warm bed in the morning!!! I do like sleeping in the cooler weather though. Gayle, I pulled out my jeans too!!

We're having the same weather as Diana. The leaves are changing. How about you other Northerners?

I didn't realize that we had so many Texans. Hurray for our cowgirls

Our weather is changing too, and with 2 weeks of really unusually cool temps, some of our leaves are dropping. It is supposed to warm back up to 90ish, so the changes will halt and restart all the way through Oct. which is always an up and down month.

Two weeks ago I got a sunburn. Last week we had record-breaking temperatures, making it the hottest September in HISTORY. Today it is below freezing, and I had ice on my windshield this morning!

The weather is absolutely NUTS! We've had a couple of HOT days - in the mid-90's. We are supposed to have a cool front come in today and only be in the 80's for a few days!

I've been hearing about the extreme hot and cold in Canada, Lindsay. NUTS!
