It's snowing in Austin....

Well, it's just sleeting so far, but it is supposed to SNOW later!

My daughter lives 10 miles north of me and she says it's a blizzard up there! So unusual for us!

Fortunately, I don't have to go to school today - no classes or meetings. I have several things to work on and I can do that here at home. I had to run to the store to get bread and milk and a few essentials. I thought the weather was going to be bad tomorrow, and I sent most of our groceries in the trailer with Gary, so my cupboards were bare! I didn't go to the store last night as I was really tired when I left work.

I also asked at Walmart if they had any ice scrapers as it is supposed to be below freezing in the morning. No such luck.............. I think I may be able to scrounge one up in the garage! Or, I can just go out a little early in the morning to warm up the car and melt the potential ice on the windshield!

Don't all you 'northerners' feel sorry for me?

Poor Gayle....I'm really feeling bad for you my friend. I wouldn't wish snow on anyone...any amount. It snowed here again today and is still snowing lightly. Only suppose to get an inch or a little more.

I want it to quit snowing during the winter...just be cool. I know....I live in Indiana and it just won't happen.

Well I'm not sorry...I'M EXCITED!!!! We are supposed to have snow, too! I was in Seattle when it snowed last time, so I missed it! It'll be gone in a couple of days, so it probably won't be a big deal

YES! I guess I forgot to post that Gary and I took our travel trailer to the lake over the weekend and he will be down there a couple of weeks fishing with his aunt and uncle. I will go down for the weekends (someone has to make some money to fund his trips ). He is far enough south that they will only have some cold temps and rain, but no snow.

It looks pretty Gayle!
Your broccoli and cauliflower look good. That seems so strange to have veggies in Feb. lol.
I just love Texas. I worked in Dallas back in 2000. I stayed in Plano. I could live there with no problem.

Sorry.....but you can see the grass through your snowstorm! I don't know how much we got, but my deck is almost filled with snow!

I'll take pictures tomorrow, when we will be getting from 12" to 17" more snow!!!

LOL! JUDY!!! You are so right, it was just a little snow storm - but we almost NEVER have any snow fall so it was really a novelty for us. Also, it snowed ALL DAY - just not very much of it stuck. It also snowed in those HUGE flakes that look like pieces of paper falling from the sky - THAT is VERY unusual for us. We actually usually only have ice pellets that build up and look kinda like snow. There was enough to build a snow man and have snow ball fights, and that almost NEVER happens here, so you will have to excuse our nerdiness over a little bit of snow! LOL!!!
