Mackenzie is a teenager!
Yesterday was Mackenzie's 13th birthday. She is now a teenager! It really hit me when I saw the candles on her cake! She is such a sweet girl! She is very bright, and interesting too. I love being with her. We always got along so easily.
Jessie and I took all three kids to Oneonta, a nearby small city. Mackenzie had $100 from Steve to splurge on. She bought a beautiful outfit. Braondon and Kassidy each had $20 to spend, so we shopped for them too. We went to Walmart and I bought them all small gifts. Mackenzie got another outfit, and the little ones got sheriff sets. They played (and fought) with them all the way home! We were going to go to Fred's, a fancy restaurant that Mackenzie loves. We are going to wait until tonight though. I was so glad! I was worn out after a day of shopping with the three kids! Mackenzie said that she had a really nice birthday. I didn't bring my camera, but I will take it tonight.

Our grandchildren grow up so quickly!! It's hard to believe that Mackenzie is 13 already!!! (I have trouble thinking that I have 3 granddaughters that are 13 too!!) It is a fun age though!!! It sounds like you had a really good day with your daughter and the kids.......riding in cars is always the hardest part of being with kids though!!! Give Mackenzie Happy Birthday wishes from me!!!!

Happy Birthday to Mackenzie, glad she had a wonderful day with g-ma. seem's once that reach those teen years they grow even faster, they start having their own lives to live and start doing more with friends.
I have 4 that are teenager's the oldest will be 17 in Sept and he just got his drivers license yesterday, howlycow that makes me old!!! Hope you enjoy your dinner tonight!

It is unbelievable how fast they grow up isn't it? I have one that turned 13 in Feb. Have fun tonight Judy and tell MacKenzie happy b-day from me too.
