Question Probably A Stupid Question..lol

Okay...I'm wanting to do something different with my clothes, but just not sure what I want to do. So tell me ladies....what to you hang up in your closet and what do you put in your dresser drawers?

I like to be able to see everything so hanging in the closet is good, but if I don't wear something soon enough....I get that hanger look on the shoulders...lol. So attractive..lol.

Tell me what you all do.

I'm just cleaning my closet, lol. I'm putting all my summer clothes in storage and hanging all my winter clothes. I am also very visual so I hang everything. In my drawers I have nothing but undergarments and pajamas.
Just so you have an idea I even hang my shoes on the wall and I do have the shoe rack that goes on the door.

Oh and my lingere is also hanged

I hang all my clothes too - oh, I do keep my sweats in a drawer, but all the rest is hanging. I don't use many wire hangers, I use the plastic hangers with the metal hook that goes over the rod. This minimizes the "hanging too long" look in the shoulders.

I use both wire and plastic hangers.....and even keep some of the nice hangers that come with some clothes. I find that I use the plastic hangers mostly to keep out the marks on the shoulders.

As for what I keep in my drawers......socks, underwear, long underwear, pajamas, shorts, some tank tops. I do have some things that I need to take out of my drawers because they don't fit anymore.

I hang up all of my jeans.....we have double rods in our closet. Rods on top and rods on the bottom.......they work great for hanging shirts on top and jeans on the bottom......the bottom rod doesn't go all the way across so I have room to hang dresses.

Diana, that's the way my closet is set up too - some double rods for shirts and single rods for dresses. Actually I only have 1-2 dresses, I hang my pants on that rod. I use the clip hangers to hang my pants, so they hang down long like dresses.

I hate those little shoulder puffs from hanging tops for too long! I take a fairly wet washcloth, or towel, and wet the "puffs." Then I flatten them by hand and fuss around the area. It seems to work. Of course, you do have to do it so that your shoulders dry before you get to where you are going!

I also hang everything, and use Joy Mangano hangers, which really make a difference. Walmart has a line now which are much cheaper. They are worth the investment. I have the same hangers since I moved.

Judy, I have some of those hangers, and was hoping to standardize on them, but hubby doesn't like them. He doesn't like the velvet finish, soooo, I'm trying to standardize on the clear plastic ones with the metal hook like you get free with retail clothing, at least for blouses and shirts. I also hang everything. We need so badly to go through our clothes and get rid of about half of them. Our closet is overflowing and also our laundry room. We have about 9 to 12 feet of hanging rod in our laundry room that is full. (About a third of the laundry room is Garrett and Melissa's clothes though, not ours.)

Part of the problem is that we each have about 3 wardrobes of different sizes.

Don't we all? I have two sizes. At some point, I will get the smaller ones out of here.

Losing weight just seems to be out of reach for me. I only need to lose about 8 pounds, but, aside from wanting to lose my stomach, I don't really care.
