Japan's Meltdown......
I just read a day or two ago about Japan's neuclear plant dumping millions of gallons of water into the ocean. I don't know about anyone else but I'm pretty concerned about that being in our water. Is anyone else worried about it? I'm wondering about getting a water purification system but I don't know if it will take out radioactive stuff out of it. What do you think?

I think it will be OK, but I wouldn't eat imported fish right now. I would however, think about a water filtration system, I think they help with impurities that we have here. We don't have one, just a filter system in our refrigerator for the water that comes out of the door - but I would like to have one for the sink.

There are just so many things to worry about Diana that I decided not to worry about any of them. Everything we eat or breath causes some horrible disease it seems. I'm not even going to worry about Red Lobster....if they import or not. I love the food and if I end up glowing in the dark....so bit it...
We don't have a water purification system, but was told once that anyone using a ground well should have one.

I think that certainly can't hurt Diana. I am not at all sure if it removes radiation from the water. It will remove lots of other impurities though.
I am so saddened by what happened in Japan. I am usually an optimist, but looking at the global picture right now, with rebellion in the mid-east, all kinds of weather and nature related disasters, the fact that our government may close down this week, poverty in so many places, and a loss of values in general, I feel like it is the end of the world as we know it. I wrote a story about this in my writers' workshop. If I can figure out a way to share it, I will.

I would love to read it too Judy....please find a way to post it. I feel bad for Japan and the people too. What a horrible thing to go through and as you.....I feel the time is coming to an end also. It's weird.....ever since I was little....about 5th or 6th grade....I always had a feeling it would come or very close to it in my lifetime.

I'd love to read your story too, Judy!! I hope you can find a way to post it.
I do have a water filtration system on a separate spigot on the sink but I'm not sure what it filters out. Maybe we should just buy a better filter to use. The water in the refrigerator is filtered by this as well as having it's own filter on it......so it's actually filtered twice. I'm not super worried about this......but radiation is a worry...not just for me but my family. It just seems like the whole world is just crumbling around us......but the Bible tells that that will happen. |

Another earthquake hit Japan today. It's a 7.4 this time, but much closer to the coast. There's another tsunami warning

Not sure what can be done except to pray for them. It really does break my heart to see the people of Japan on the news and all their suffering.

I haven't had the news on. This is awful! I wonder when they are going to be left in peace to clean up and get back to it.
